Nick Swisher is being pursued by multiple teams, but he's “not even close” to making a decision, according to CBSSports.com’s Scott Miller.
Miller mentions that at least three or four teams are interested in the 32-year-old outfielder. Swisher is one of the top position players remaining on the market, and he is expected to receive a significant deal. In 624 plate appearances last season, Swisher hit .272/.364/.473 with the Yankees.
The Indians have been rumored to be interested in Swisher, and the Mariners have been mentioned as suitors for nearly every free-agent hitter. With the Giants signing Andres Torres, they might be out of the market for another outfielder. The Red Sox have also been a popular candidate for Swisher. Both the Phillies and the Rangers could be looking at outfielders, though Texas would most likely prefer Josh Hamilton. There's some sentiment that Swisher won't sign before Hamilton, as the amount of money Hamilton receives could improve the market for Swisher.
