Ben Revere: Cut loose by Toronto
The Blue Jays released Revere from his minor-league contract over the weekend, Kegan Lowe of Baseball America reports.
Revere joined the organization in late April and reported to Triple-A Buffalo, where he played in eight games and hit .286 with one stolen base. The outfielder wasn't likely to earn a callup to Toronto anytime soon and may have asked for his release to pursue opportunities elsewhere. Revere hasn't surfaced in the big leagues since 2017, when he appeared in 109 games for the Angels and slashed .275/.308/.344 across 308 plate appearances.

Blue Jays' Ben Revere: Joining Blue Jays
Revere signed a minor-league deal with the Blue Jays on Saturday.
Revere spent spring training with the Rangers but was released just before the start of the regular season. The 30-year-old spent 2018 at the Triple-A level and slashed .277/.319/.406 in 166 plate appearances. Revere will report to extended spring training next week before presumably heading to Triple-A Buffalo.

Ben Revere: Released by Rangers
Revere was released by the Rangers on Tuesday, T.R. Sullivan of MLB.com reports.
Revere will look for work elsewhere after failing to secure a spot on the Rangers' Opening Day roster. The veteran outfielder spent all of the 2018 campaign in the minors, hitting .277/.319/.406 in 40 games for Triple-A Salt Lake.

Rangers' Ben Revere: Sent to minor-league camp
Revere was assigned to minor-league camp Tuesday.
Revere didn't spend any time in the big leagues last year and will have to wait for an injury to earn his chance this season. He hit a modest .277/.319/.406 in 40 games for Triple-A Salt Lake in the Angels' system in 2018.

Rangers' Ben Revere: Lands NRI deal with Texas
Revere signed a minor-league contract with the Rangers on Sunday that includes an invitation to spring training, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports.
The veteran outfielder spent last season in the Angels' organization, slashing .277/.319/.406 in 40 games for their Triple-A affiliate before breaking his foot and being released in July. Revere will compete for a reserve outfielder role with Texas, though it's a bit of a long shot given his declining speed and defensive capabilities.

Angels' Ben Revere: Rejoins Angels
Revere signed a minor-league contract with the Angels on Friday, Chris Cotillo of SB Nation reports.
Revere joins the Angels after being released by the Reds last Sunday. The veteran outfielder slashed .275/.308/.344 with 21 stolen bases in 308 plate appearances with the Angels in 2017, and would likely provide outfield depth if promoted from Triple-A Salt Lake.

Ben Revere: Released by Reds
Revere was released from Reds minor-league camp Sunday.
Revere signed with the Reds this offseason with the hopes of cracking the Opening Day roster as a reserve outfielder. After going 3-for-24 at the plate this spring, he was reassigned to minor-league camp Thursday. The speedy outfielder will now look to sign with a club in need of an additional major-league outfielder.

Reds' Ben Revere: Reassigned to minor league camp
Revere was reassigned to minor-league camp Thursday, John Fay of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Fay notes that Revere was one of the biggest surprises from Thursday's round of cuts, although it's worth mentioning that he had gone just .125/.160/.208 through 24 spring at-bats. "I think he'll go back and talk with his agent and see what his opportunities are," said manager Bryan Price. The indication as of now is that Revere may forgo heading to minor league camp and instead see if there are any other teams in need of a fourth outfielder.

Reds' Ben Revere: Joins Cincinnati on minors deal
Revere signed a minor-league contract with an invitation to spring training, Jon Heyman of FanRagSports.com reports.
Revere put together a solid rebound season with the Angels last year, posting a .275/.308/.344 slash line in 308 plate appearances, but most importantly went 21-for-27 in stolen base attempts. Stolen bases are likely to be the only statistic of potential fantasy relevance for the 29-year-old, but the Reds outfield depth doesn't look to provide a clear path for at-bats.

Angels' Ben Revere: Drives in season-high three runs
Revere went 2-for-5 with a double and three RBI in Sunday's 7-5 loss to Houston.
Revere's bases-clearing double in the fifth inning gave him his first multi-RBI performance of the year. The leadoff man's value is tied primarily to speed rather than power, as he's topped 20 stolen bases in six of the past seven seasons. It was Revere's first action since suffering a knee contusion Tuesday, so he should be good to serve his usual fourth outfielder role moving forward.

Angels' Ben Revere: In starting lineup Sunday
Revere (knee) is starting in left field and batting leadoff during Sunday's game against the Astros, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
Revere suffered a knee contusion during Tuesday's game after fouling a ball of his knee. After four days off to recover, the speedy left fielder will be inserted into the starting lineup Sunday in replacement of Cameron Maybin. Revere was hitting .306 in August prior to his knee injury.

Angels' Ben Revere: Out of Wednesday's lineup
Revere (knee contusion) is out of Wednesday's lineup against the Rangers, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
While he suffered a knee contusion Tuesday, he's not necessarily out of the lineup solely because of that injury, as Revere is technically the fourth outfielder. Cameron Maybin will start in center field and lead off. Revere could be available off the bench, and should be considered day-to-day.

Angels' Ben Revere: Removed from Tuesday's game
Revere was removed from Tuesday's game against the Rangers in the sixth inning, Maria Guardado of MLB.com reports.
Revere drew the start in left field in place of Cameron Maybin, but was removed from the game in the sixth inning after going 1-for-3 with a stolen base in his first three plate appearances. The speedy outfielder fouled a ball off his knee earlier in the game, so that may have been the reason for his early departure.

Angels' Ben Revere: Suffers knee contusion
Revere was diagnosed with a left knee contusion, Maria Guardado of MLB.com reports.
Revere fouled a ball off his knee Tuesday and indeed his departure later in the game was a direct result. It sounds like the Angels are confident Revere escaped with just a bruise, but it's possible they will give him a day or two off his feet to be safe. Revere has stolen 11 bases already since the All-Star break, exceeding his total from the first half.

Angels' Ben Revere: Collects three hits Friday
Revere led off and went 3-for-5 with a pair of doubles and two runs scored in Friday's 9-7 loss to the Orioles.
The 29-year-old drew his second consecutive start atop the Angels' lineup while Cameron Maybin has dealt with knee stiffness. It is unclear how long Maybin will be sidelined, but the injury is in the same knee that cost him three weeks of action last month. Revere should continue to start in his place, providing runs and stolen bases in the interim.

Angels' Ben Revere: Assumes leadoff role Wednesday
Revere will lead off and start in left field Wednesday against the Nationals, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
Revere moved back to the bench earlier this month after Cameron Maybin was activated from the disabled list, but Revere will reenter the starting nine Wednesday while the Angels hold out Maybin for the day game following the night game. As a leadoff hitter this season, Revere is slashing an unremarkable .192/.276/.192.
