Angels' Mike Trout: Leaves yard again Friday
Trout went 3-for-4 with a walk and a solo home run in Friday's 6-2 win over the Astros.
The 34-year-old is looking rejuvenated to begin 2026, joining Chili Davis, Tim Salmon, Brian Downing and Joe Rudi as only the Angels in franchise history to hit homers in the first two games of a season. Trout was able to play 130 games last year and handle 555 plate appearances, his largest workload since 2019, so the Halos may have finally figured out the best way to keep the long-time face of the franchise healthy and productive. So far this season, he's gone 4-for-6 with two solo shots, a steal and a 4:1 BB:K.

Angels' Mike Trout: Drives offense in win
Trout went 1-for-2 with a solo home run, three walks and a stolen base in Thursday's 3-0 win over the Astros.
The 34-year-old snapped a scoreless tie in the seventh inning with his shot off AJ Blubaugh, the decisive blow in Anaheim's shutout victory. It's a strong start to the year for Trout, who's hoping to stay healthy after slashing .232/.359/.439 with 26 homers and just two steals across 130 games in 2025.

Angels' Mike Trout: Back in action Sunday
Trout (hand) is starting in center field and batting second in Sunday's Cactus League game against the Dodgers, Jack Janes of TheSportingTribune.com reports.
Trout departed Friday's spring contest after being hit by a pitch on the hand, but he had X-rays come back negative and is rejoining the lineup after getting one day off. The 34-year-old is coming off a 2024 campaign that saw him total 26 homers with a .232/.359/.439 slash line in 130 games, which was his largest workload since 2019.

Angels' Mike Trout: X-rays on hand negative
Trout had precautionary X-rays come back negative after being hit by a pitch during Friday's spring game against the White Sox, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.
The veteran outfielder was plunked in his first plate appearance and stayed in to run the bases, but he was then pulled from the game and sent for imaging. Trout avoided a fracture, so his availability for Opening Day next week shouldn't be affected by the injury.
