  • Jeremy Hazelbaker: Continuing career abroad

Hazelbaker finalized a one-year, $700,000 contract with the Kia Tigers of the Korea Baseball Organization in November, Jeeho Yoo of Yonhap News Agency reports. Hazelbaker's contract, which also includes a $200,000 signing bonus, is likely far more lucrative than what he would have been able to fetch had he elected to continue his playing career in North America. The center fielder spent the 2018 season at the Triple-A level in the Arizona, Minnesota and Tampa Bay organizations, batting a combined .204 with 11 home runs in 98 games.

  • Twins' Jeremy Hazelbaker: Dealt to Minnesota

Hazelbaker was traded from the Rays to the Twins on Thursday in exchange for cash considerations. The 30-year-old outfielder struggled to a .210/.293/.397 slash line with 24 extra-base hits and 27 RBI through 62 games with Triple-A Durham this season. Hazelbaker appeared in 114 games at the big-league level for the Cardinals in 2016 and 41 games for the Diamondbacks last year, although he'll report to Triple-A Rochester following the trade, where he figures to serve as organizational depth. He's a career .258 hitter with 14 homers and 38 RBI through 155 games in the major leagues.

  • Rays' Jeremy Hazelbaker: Outrighted to Triple-A

Hazelbaker was outrighted to Triple-A Durham on Monday. Hazelbaker will stick around in the Tampa Bay organization after going unclaimed off waivers over the weekend. The 30-year-old outfielder hasn't seen any action in the big leagues this season and is hitting .190/.278/.366 across 230 plate appearances at the Triple-A level.

  • Rays' Jeremy Hazelbaker: Designated for assignment

Hazelbaker was designated for assignment Friday. The 30-year-old was removed from the 40-man roster in order to make room for the addition of Adam Kolarek. Hazelbaker hasn't played in the big leagues this season and has a miserable .189/.279/.368 line for Triple-A Durham. He's unlikely to be a desirable asset on the waiver wire.

  • Rays' Jeremy Hazelbaker: Dealt to Rays

Hazelbaker was traded to the Rays for cash considerations Tuesday. The veteran outfielder is on the move after being designated for assignment by the Diamondbacks on April 6. Hazelbaker was an effective bat off the bench last season when he slashed .346/.443/.577 over a small 52 at-bat sample. He'll be assigned to Triple-A Durham for starters, according to Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times. Hazelbaker will be a viable option to join the Rays later in the season should they need extra outfield help.

  • Diamondbacks' Jeremy Hazelbaker: Designated for assignment

Hazelbaker was designated for assignment by Arizona on Friday. In a corresponding move, the club claimed Troy Scribner off waivers and added him to the 40-man roster. Hazelbaker will remain with Triple-A Reno unless claimed off waivers by another organization in the coming days.

  • Diamondbacks' Jeremy Hazelbaker: Sent back to minors

Hazelbaker was optioned to Triple-A Reno on Tuesday. The 30-year-old had a tough spring at the plate, batting just .133 in 30 at-bats. He did walk as many times as he struck out (9:9 K:BB) and swiped two bases, but the presence of Jarrod Dyson and Yasmany Tomas as reserve outfielders ultimately made Hazelbaker a roster redundancy. He'll head back to the minors to act as organizational depth.

  • Diamondbacks' Jeremy Hazelbaker: Drives in four Sunday

Hazelbaker went 2-for-3 with a home run, a walk and four RBI in Sunday's 14-2 win over the Royals. Hazelbaker didn't enter the game until the bottom of the fourth inning as Arizona started to remove regulars from the lineup, but he still made a massive impact. He drove the first pitch he saw into the seats for a three-run homer in the top of the fifth and added an RBI single in the ninth. Despite this performance, Hazelbaker remains buried deep down Arizona's outfield depth chart heading into the postseason.

  • Diamondbacks' Jeremy Hazelbaker: Records two hits in rare start

Hazelbaker went 2-for-4 with a triple Monday in the Diamondbacks' 9-2 loss to the Giants. With the Diamondbacks clinching a playoff berth over the weekend, manager Torey Lovullo elected to reward most of the team's regulars with a day out of the lineup. As a result, Hazelbaker checked into right field for J.D. Martinez in what was his first start since being recalled from Triple-A Reno on Sept. 9. It's likely that Lovullo will rest some of the everyday players a couple more times in the final week of the regular season, so Hazelbaker may be in line for another start or two.

  • Diamondbacks' Jeremy Hazelbaker: Brought back to majors

Hazelbaker was recalled from Triple-A Reno on Saturday, Jack Magruder of FanRagSports.com reports. Hazelbaker returned to Arizona after Reno's elimination from the Triple-A playoffs. The 30-year-old is hitting .318 in 33 games with the big club this season, but he's been extremely fortunate on balls in play (.481 BABIP). He strikes out too much to maintain an average close to that over a larger sample. Expect him to play a limited role over the remaining weeks of the season.

  • Diamondbacks' Jeremy Hazelbaker: Sent back to minors

Hazelbaker was optioned to Triple-A Reno following Friday's loss to the Phillies. Hazelbaker has held his own in a limited role for the Diamondbacks this year, slashing .318/.412/.477 in 44 at-bats. He could be back with the big club later in the season, but he's unlikely to see any sort of consistent playing time with the Diamondbacks set in the outfield. A corresponding roster move should be announced Saturday.

  • Diamondbacks' Jeremy Hazelbaker: Reaches base three times as leadoff hitter

Hazelbaker went 1-for-3 with a pair of walks and two runs in Thursday's 10-3 win over the Rockies. The Diamondbacks' power-packed lineup didn't miss a beat while Hazelbaker manned the leadoff spot for Gregor Blanco, who received a day off in the series finale. Hazelbaker has reached base five times in his last two starts and carries a .420 on-base percentage on the season, but he's unlikely to parlay his accomplishments into more consistent at-bats with the Diamondbacks, especially with A.J. Pollock (groin, quad) due back from the disabled list in the near future.

  • Diamondbacks' Jeremy Hazelbaker: Records two hits in rare start

Hazelbaker started in left field and went 2-for-5 in Sunday's 5-4 win over the Phillies in 10 innings. With Daniel Descalso receiving the day off, Hazelbaker entered the lineup for only the second time since being called up from Triple-A Reno in June 6. The 29-year-old has been effective when he's gotten a chance to play this season, but he may not stick around with the big club much longer with A.J. Pollock (groin) nearing a return from the disabled list.

  • Diamondbacks' Jeremy Hazelbaker: Heads back to big leagues

Hazelbaker was recalled from Triple-A Reno on Tuesday. With Yasmany Tomas (groin) landing on the disabled list, the Diamondbacks were in need of outfield depth. Hazelbaker will head to the big leagues to offer just that, and his strong .917 OPS during his brief time in the big leagues should help him pick up a decent number of innings while Tomas is out. Daniel Descalso and Chris Herrmann are also in the running for increased playing time in left field as a result of this.

  • Diamondbacks' Jeremy Hazelbaker: Sent down to Triple-A

Hazelbaker was optioned to Triple-A Reno on Thursday. Hazelbaker has been with the club since Opening Day, posting a .308 batting average as a backup center fielder and pinch hitter. He'll be a roster casualty Thursday, however, as the team needed to make room for starter Braden Shipley.

  • Diamondbacks' Jeremy Hazelbaker: Hitting leadoff Sunday

Hazelbaker will start in center field and lead off for the Diamondbacks in Sunday's game against the Rockies. With A.J. Pollock getting his second Sunday in a row off for rest, Hazelbaker will once again take Pollock's spot in both the field and batting order. Hazelbaker wound up going 0-for-4 in the leadoff spot a week ago against the Dodgers and has now recorded just one hit in his last 15 at-bats, taking much of the wind out of his sails following a 6-for-6 start to the season.

  • Diamondbacks' Jeremy Hazelbaker: Batting leadoff Sunday

Hazelbaker will lead off and man center field for Sunday's game against the Dodgers. The Diamondbacks are giving A.J. Pollock the day off to rest, so Hazelbaker will draw into the starting nine for just the third time all season. After opening the campaign with hits in each of his first six at-bats, Hazelbaker has fallen back to earth with a 1-for-10 mark in his subsequent at-bats, most of which have come in pinch-hitting situations.

  • Diamondbacks' Jeremy Hazelbaker: Supplies three hits in blowout win

Hazelbaker went 3-for-3 with a walk and a run scored in Saturday's 11-2 win over the Indians. Making his first start of the season, Hazelbaker ensured the Diamondbacks didn't lose any offensive firepower with A.J. Pollock receiving the contest off for rest. Hazelbaker showcased a decent combination of pop and speed when he received regular at-bats with the Cardinals last season, but he won't have a clear path to everyday starts with the Diamondbacks so long as Pollock, David Peralta and Yasmany Tomas are able to stay healthy.

  • Diamondbacks' Jeremy Hazelbaker: Named to Opening Day roster

Hazelbaker has made the Diamondbacks' Opening Day roster as a reserve outfielder, Bob McManaman of The Arizona Republic reports. Hazelbaker struggled to make an impact this spring, compiling just a .182 average with 14 strikeouts in 55 Cactus League at-bats. Claimed off waivers from the Cardinals this offseason, the 29-year-old will try to find some semblance of the success he had in 2016, when he finished with a .775 OPS and 12 home runs in a similar role for St. Louis.

  • Diamondbacks' Jeremy Hazelbaker: Struggling to win role this spring

Hazelbaker is hitting just .174 (8-for46) with no home runs this spring. Hazelbaker is on the roster bubble and looks unlikely to win a reserve outfielder role at this point. However, he could sneak on the roster if Yasmany Tomas has a setback to his oblique injury.
