  • Twins' Brad Peacock: Back with Twins

Peacock signed a minor-league contract with the Twins on Thursday, Brandon Warne of Access Twins reports. Peacock recently spent a month at Triple-A St. Paul and posted a 2.92 ERA and 0.97 WHIP in 12.1 innings over 12 appearances with the club. He opted out of his contract recently but will rejoin the organization on another minor-league deal a few days later. The right-hander will head back to St. Paul following Thursday's transaction.

  • Twins' Brad Peacock: Released by Minnesota

Peacock recently opted out of his Triple-A contract with Minnesota and was released, Darren Wolfson of Channel 5 Saint Paul reports. Peacock began the season at Triple-A Omaha and posted a 1.88 ERA, 45:16 K:BB and 1.29 WHIP in 38.1 innings over 35 relief appearances prior to being released by the Royals on July 19. He then gave up four runs in 12.1 innings with 12 strikeouts (but five walks) with Triple-A St. Paul.

  • Twins' Brad Peacock: Lands minor-league deal

Peacock signed a minor-league contract with the Twins on Friday, Brandon Warne of Access Twins reports. Peacock began the season at Triple-A Omaha and posted a 1.88 ERA, 45:16 K:BB and 1.29 WHIP in 38.1 innings over 35 relief appearances prior to being released by the Royals on July 19. The 34-year-old will attempt to maintain his success at Triple-A St. Paul now that he's landed another minor-league contract.

  • Brad Peacock: Heads to free agency

The Royals released Peacock from his minor-league contract Sunday. Peacock was one three players cut loose from the Triple-A Omaha roster as the affiliate prepares to welcome back a number of players coming out of the All-Star break after the big club needed reinforcements from the minor-league ranks last weekend when 10 players were placed on the restricted list for the Royals' series in Toronto. Over his 38.1 innings out of the Omaha bullpen this season, Peacock turned in a 1.88 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 45:16 K:BB. He shouldn't have much trouble landing a minor-league deal with another organization.

  • Royals' Brad Peacock: Lands with KC on minor-league deal

Peacock signed a minor-league contract with the Royals on Monday. The 34-year-old enjoyed a productive three-year run as a swingman with the Astros from 2017 through 2019 -- he went 23-13 with a 3.46 ERA and 29.4 K% over 288.2 innings -- but recurring shoulder problems have derailed his career ever since. He's made only five appearances at the big-league level over the past two seasons, and at this stage in his career, the Royals may view him exclusively as a reliever. Peacock's deal likely includes an invitation to big-league spring training, but he'll still presumably be on the outside looking in for a spot on the Royals' Opening Day roster.

  • Red Sox's Brad Peacock: Sent to Triple-A

Peacock was optioned to Triple-A Worcester on Monday, Chris Cotillo of The Springfield Republican reports. Peacock was promoted to the big leagues Sunday prior to the series finale against the White Sox, but he failed to take the mound and will not head back to the minors. • Red Sox's Brad Peacock: Back with BoSox

The Red Sox recalled Peacock from Triple-A Worcester on Sunday, Julian McWilliams of The Boston Globe reports. The righty rejoins the Red Sox a day after being optioned, as Phillips Valdez tested positive for COVID-19 and left an open spot in the bullpen. Peacock will likely pitch in nothing but the lowest-leverage situations for as long as he sticks with the big-league roster.

  • Red Sox's Brad Peacock: Optioned to Triple-A

  • Red Sox's Brad Peacock: Works in long relief

Peacock tossed three innings in relief during Tuesday's 12-7 loss to the Rays, giving up four runs on four hits and a walk while striking out three. After making a spot start Sept. 1 against the Rays in his Red Sox debut, Peacock shifted to the bullpen with Boston bringing its rotation back to five men to begin the week. With Eduardo Rodriguez failing to escape the fourth inning in his start, Peacock and Michael Feliz were needed to provide length Tuesday. It's unclear if Peacock will continue to work in relief the rest of the week, as the team will have a need for a fifth starter Sept. 14 in Seattle after Nick Pivetta was forced to the COVID-19 injured list Tuesday following his positive test.

  • Red Sox's Brad Peacock: Allows five runs in short outing

Peacock (0-1) allowed five runs on two hits and two walks over 2.1 innings, taking the loss in a defeat at the hands of the Rays on Tuesday. Peacock was making his first start in the majors since June of 2019 and it did not go well for him. He had a quick 1-2-3 inning on just seven pitches to open up the game but then served up a solo home run to Randy Arozarena in the second. Things really went south for him in the third after he allowed four of the first five batters he faced to reach and two to score before he was pulled from the game. Peacock would end up being charged for two additional runs before his night was all said and done. Tuesday's start will likely be the only one of the season for the 33-year-old, as he figures to be sent back down to Triple-A Worchester ahead of Wednesday's game.

  • Red Sox's Brad Peacock: Starting against Rays

Peacock will be called up to start Tuesday's game against the Rays, Chris Cotillo of The Springfield Republican reports. The Red Sox wanted to give Chris Sale an extra day of rest as he works his way back into rhythm following Tommy John surgery. They'll turn to the veteran righty Peacock, who's yet to pitch at the big-league level this season and was only just acquired in a trade with Cleveland on Monday. He'll be on short rest, having thrown 5.1 innings for Cleveland's Triple-A affiliate Friday, so he likely won't be asked to pitch deep into Tuesday's contest.

Peacock missed most of the 2020 season with a shoulder injury, and he'll officially be sidelined for the remainder of the postseason. The right-hander made just three appearances this season, allowing two runs on three hits and one walk while striking out three over 2.1 innings. Barring any setbacks, Peacock could certainly be ready for spring training in 2021 as he prepares to hit free agency during the offseason.

Peacock was placed on the 10-day injured list with right shoulder soreness Friday, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports. The 32-year-old missed the first six weeks with right shoulder issues, and it appears he's aggravated that injury since returning in early September. Peacock wasn't given an official timeline for his return, and it's possible he may not pitch again this season.

Peacock (shoulder) was activated from the 10-day injured list Saturday, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports. Peacock had been traveling the team during the current road trip, and he'll be available out of the bullpen for Saturday's doubleheader. Peacock (shoulder) could return during this current road trip that lasts through Sept. 13, Jake Kaplan of The Athletic reports. He is traveling with the team, which suggests he is nearing activation. Once activated, Peacock should occupy a mid-to-high leverage role in the Astros' bullpen.

  • Astros' Brad Peacock: Graduates to mound work

Peacock (shoulder) has resumed throwing bullpen sessions at the Astros' alternate training site in Corpus Christi, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports. Peacock has been sidelined for nearly a month with the right shoulder injury. The Astros had been planning for a healthy Peacock to fill a key multi-inning role out of the bullpen, and his eventual return will loom larger than Houston anticipated with the team's relief corps having been ravaged by injuries early on this season. Over his 95 career relief appearances, Peacock owns a 3.81 ERA and 19.6 K-BB%.

  • Astros' Brad Peacock: Making progress

Peacock (shoulder) is making progress and has been throwing off flat ground, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports. Peacock has been dealing with a sore shoulder, a potentially worrisome injury given that he also dealt with shoulder troubles last season. While it's certainly a positive that he's making progress, his expected return date is not yet clear.
