Braves' Mike Yastrzemski: Flashes power Friday
Yastrzemski went 3-for-3 with two home runs, three RBI and three runs scored in Friday's Grapefruit League game against the Red Sox.
Facing the franchise his Hall of Fame grandfather spent his entire 23-year career with, Yastrzemski took a Brayan Bello cutter deep in the second inning before getting hold of a Zack Kelly changeup in the fourth. The 35-year-old has homered three times in four appearances so far this spring, and Yastrzemski is set to handle strong-side platoon duties in left field for Atlanta this season after signing a two-year, $23 million contract in December.

Braves' Mike Yastrzemski: Goes yard to kick off spring
Yastrzemski went 2-for-2 with a walk, a solo home run and a second run scored in Atlanta's Grapefruit League game against the Rays on Saturday.
The veteran outfielder went deep off Tampa Bay prospect T.J. Nichols in his first plate appearance of the spring. Yastrzemski signed a two-year deal with Atlanta in December, and he'll fill a strong-side platoon role in left field for his new squad after slashing .256/.362/.446 with 15 homers in 454 PAs against right-handed pitching last season between the Giants and Royals.

Braves' Mike Yastrzemski: Headed to Atlanta
Yastrzemski signed a two-year, $23 million contract with Atlanta on Wednesday, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports.
Yastrzemski's new deal also includes a club option for the 2028 season. The 35-year-old outfielder got off to a slow start in 2025 but found new life after being sent to Kansas City at the trade deadline, slashing .237/.339/.500 across 186 plate appearances with the Royals. His late-season surge will grant him a multi-year commitment from Atlanta, where the presence of Ronald Acuna in right field could force Yastrzemski to spend more time in left against right-handed starters while Jurickson Profar takes on a DH role. Michael Siani was designated for assignment in a corresponding move.

Royals' Mike Yastrzemski: Blasts two homers in win
Yastrzemski went 2-for-4 with two solo home runs, a walk and a stolen base in Sunday's 9-2 victory over the Athletics.
The veteran outfielder broke out of his home run drought in emphatic fashion, launching a deep shot to right field off Michael Kelly in the seventh inning before adding another solo blast to right against Osvaldo Bido an inning later. Earlier in the game, Yastrzemski also swiped his seventh base of the season after a third-inning walk. The pair of long balls pushed his season total to 17, with nine of those coming since joining the Royals at the trade deadline. Yastrzemski hadn't gone deep in his previous 24 games, a stretch in which he hit just .176 with a .549 OPS and three RBI, making Sunday's performance a strong way to finish the regular season.

Royals' Mike Yastrzemski: Out for second straight vs. LHP
Yastrzemski is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Guardians.
For the second day in a row, the left-handed-hitting Yastrzemski will hit the bench while the Royals face off against another left-handed starting pitcher (Logan Allen). Kansas City will run out an outfield of Randal Grichuk, Kyle Isbel and Jac Caglianone from left to right Wednesday.

Royals' Mike Yastrzemski: Strong start with new team
Yastrzemski went 2-for-5 with a home run, a double, three RBI, a walk and two additional runs scored Wednesday's 12-1 win over the White Sox.
Yastrzemski belted his 14th homer of the year and his sixth since joining the Royals. The veteran outfielder has been a force atop Kansas City's lineup, slashing .260/.356/.603 with seven doubles, 12 RBI and 18 runs scored over 87 plate appearances with his new club. That said, Yastrzemski should continue to routinely sit against left-handed pitching, which limits his overall fantasy appeal.

Royals' Mike Yastrzemski: Exiting starting nine
Yastrzemski is absent from the lineup for Thursday's contest against the Rangers.
Yastrzemski has started all 16 games versus righties since being traded to the Royals, but the left-handed batter has now been out of the lineup for all three contests against lefties. Randal Grichuk will handle right field and bat fifth against Rangers southpaw Patrick Corbin.

Royals' Mike Yastrzemski: Smacks solo homer
Yastrzemski went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and an additional run scored during Saturday's 6-2 win over the White Sox.
Yastrzemski wasted little time getting the Royals on the board, as he belted the second pitch from Sean Burke deep to right-center field for a leadoff homer. It broke a five-game hitless streak for Yastrzemski, who has gone 7-for-39 (.179) with three home runs and six RBI in the 13 games since being acquired by the Royals from the Giants in late July.

Royals' Mike Yastrzemski: Homers in KC debut
Yastrzemski went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run in Friday's 9-3 win over the Blue Jays.
Yastrzemski -- whom the Royals acquired from the Giants on Thursday -- didn't take long to contribute to his new team, belting a two-run homer off Kevin Gausman in the second inning of Friday's win. Yastrzemski should continue to see most of the starts against right-handed pitching, meaning he'll be busy this weekend as the Blue Jays deploy Max Scherzer and Chris Bassitt on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.

Royals' Mike Yastrzemski: Acquired by Royals
The Royals acquired Yastrzemski from the Giants on Thursday in exchange for Yunior Marte, Mark Feinsand of MLB.com reports.
The veteran outfielder's seven-year run in San Francisco has come to an end, with the Giants electing to offload his expiring contract. Yastrzemski has a .231/.330/.355 slash line with eight homers and six steals in 97 games this season, and he should provide the Royals with some stability in right field due to Jac Caglianone (hamstring) being on the IL. Fellow trade acquisition Randal Grichuk is a likely platoon partner for the lefty-hitting Yastremski, who should see most of the starts vs. right-handed pitching.

Giants' Mike Yastrzemski: Taking seat Tuesday
Yastrzemski is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against Atlanta, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Yastrzemski started the previous 11 games versus right-handed pitchers but will head to the bench Tuesday while in the midst of a 4-for-31 slump. Luis Matos will take over in right field and bat ninth against Atlanta righty Davis Daniel.
