Braves' Grant Holmes: Quality start in win Friday
Holmes (2-1) picked up the win Friday against the Phillies, allowing three runs on seven hits and three walks with four strikeouts across six innings.
Holmes notched his third quality start of the season but has allowed multiple runs in five of six outings to begin the 2026 campaign. The right-hander was able to mostly limit the damage, surrendering a pair of homers to Trea Turner and Bryce Harper to account for the three runs. Holmes will carry a 3.62 ERA and 25:14 K:BB across 32.1 innings into his next start.

Braves' Grant Holmes: Falls short of five-inning mark
Holmes allowed two runs on four hits and a walk while striking out four over 4.2 innings in a no-decision versus Philadelphia on Sunday.
Holmes threw 50 of 81 pitches for strikes. He was pulled before having to face Kyle Schwarber a third time in the contest after Schwarber hit a two-run blast off Holmes in the first inning. This was Holmes' second straight start where he fell short of the five-inning mark, denying him a chance to collect his second win of the year. Through five starts, he has a 3.42 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 21:11 K:BB through 26.1 innings. The right-hander's next start is projected to be a rematch at home versus the Phillies.

Braves' Grant Holmes: Allows three runs in four frames
Holmes did not factor into the decision Monday, allowing three runs on three hits and two walks over four innings against the Marlins. He struck out three.
Holmes turned in his least effective outing of an otherwise strong start to the 2026 campaign, undone by a three-run fourth inning after opening with three scoreless frames. Through four starts, the right-hander owns a 3.32 ERA and 1.11 WHIP with a 17:10 K:BB across 21.2 innings. His next outing is likely to come over the weekend on the road against the Phillies.

Braves' Grant Holmes: Six Ks in 6.2 strong innings
Holmes (1-1) notched the win Wednesday against the Angels, allowing two runs on five hits and three walks in 6.2 innings. He struck out six.
Holmes was tagged for a pair of extra-base hits, with one leaving the yard, but he otherwise produced a very strong outing. The right-hander generated 13 whiffs, and he notably escaped a bases-loaded jam to finish a two-run second inning and limit the damage. Holmes owns a 2.55 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 14:8 K:BB over 17.2 innings, and he should maintain streaming appeal with a favorable matchup versus the Marlins set for his next start.

Braves' Grant Holmes: Strong showing against Arizona
Holmes allowed a hit and three walks while striking out four over six shutout innings in a no-decision versus Arizona on Friday.
Holmes and Eduardo Rodriguez had a pitchers' duel. While Holmes didn't last as long in the game, exiting at 85 pitches (52 strikes) over his six frames, Atlanta got the win in the end with a two-run ninth inning. Holmes has allowed three runs over 11 innings across his two starts, scattering six hits while posting an 8:5 K:BB so far. The right-hander had some positive moments in 2025, pitching to a 3.99 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 123:54 K:BB across 115 innings over 22 regular-season appearances (21 starts). He'll still need to improve at limiting walks, but he's shown enough strikeout potential to be an interesting fantasy option. The 30-year-old's next start is projected to be on the road against the Angels.

Braves' Grant Holmes: Dominant outing against Bucs
Holmes struck out nine and walked one over five scoreless, no-hit innings in Thursday's Grapefruit League game against the Pirates.
The right-hander built up to 64 pitches (41 strikes) as he dominated a Pittsburgh lineup that featured most of its likely Opening Day starters, including Bryan Reynolds, Ryan O'Hearn and Marcell Ozuna. Holmes has yet to allow an earned run this spring, posting a 16:6 K:BB through 12.1 innings, and he's locked into an Opening Day rotation spot due to injuries to Spencer Schwellenbach (elbow), Hurston Waldrep (elbow) and Joey Wentz (knee).
