The Padres worked a run off of Quantrill in the second after they led off the inning with a single and a double that scored Xander Bogaerts from first. Quantrill has now failed to go at least five innings in consecutive starts and in three of his last five. The Rockies led 6-2 after the second inning, but Quantrill let the Angels pull ahead by the end of the fourth. He was able to avoid a loss, but this was arguably his worst start of the season.
