Brewers' Aaron Civale: Throws three frames Sunday
Civale gave up two earned runs over 3.0 innings in Sunday's spring game. He allowed two hits, struck out one batter and walked none.
Civale made his first appearance since his Feb. 27 spring debut and tossed 48 pitches -- seven more than he put up his previous time out. Civale and the Brewers agreed to an $8 million salary for 2025, which puts him on track to break camp with a spot in the big-league rotation.

Brewers' Aaron Civale: Earns $8 million from Milwaukee
The Brewers and Civale avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $8 million contract Thursday, Robert Murray of FanSided.com reports.
Civale had been in his final year of arbitration eligibility. The veteran right-hander posted a 4.36 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 149:52 K:BB over 161 innings between the Rays and Brewers in 2024.

Brewers' Aaron Civale: Blanks Pirates for eighth win
Civale (8-9) earned the win Thursday over the Pirates, allowing three hits and a walk over six scoreless innings. He struck out five.
It was a strong finish to the regular season for Civale, who went 6-1 with a 2.57 ERA over his final nine starts (49 innings). Overall, the right-hander posted a 4.36 ERA with a 1.30 WHIP and 149:52 K:BB across a career-high 161 innings. Civale should continue to serve as Milwaukee's number-two starter behind Freddy Peralta when they open postseason play.

Brewers' Aaron Civale: Goes just 4.1 innings in loss
Civale (7-9) took the loss against Arizona on Saturday, allowing three runs on three hits and three walks while striking out two batters over 4.1 innings.
Civale struggled with his control in the outing, throwing just 51 of 91 pitches for strikes and issuing three free passes. He also got dinged for a pair of home runs, which accounted for all three runs against him. It was the first time the right-hander has given up multiple homers in a game since July 21, and Saturday's outing was the first time he has failed to complete five frames since Aug. 23. Civale had been pitching well coming into the contest, posting a 2.42 ERA and 0.99 WHIP over 22.1 innings across his previous four starts.

Brewers' Aaron Civale: Strikes out six in win
Civale (7-8) earned the win against the Phillies on Monday, allowing one run on seven hits and one walk with six strikeouts over five innings.
Civale opened with four scoreless frames before surrendering a solo home run to Brandon Marsh in the fifth. The 29-year-old has gone 5-0 over his past seven outings while completing at least five innings in six of them. He owns a 3.68 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 58:21 K:BB across 63.2 innings with the Brewers and lines up to face the Diamondbacks this weekend.
