  • Angels' Tayler Saucedo: Signs NRI pact with Angels

The Angels signed Saucedo to a minor-league contract Wednesday that includes an invitation to big-league spring training.

Saucedo has posted a 4.36 ERA and 112:58 K:BB over 128 frames covering parts of five major-league seasons. The 32-year-old spent most of 2025 in the minors and faces an uphill battle to make the Opening Day roster, even in an unsettled Angels bullpen.

  • Tayler Saucedo: Parts ways with Seattle

The Mariners non-tendered Saucedo on Friday, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.

The left-hander was designated for assignment by Seattle earlier this week and will now hit the open market. Saucedo gave up 11 earned runs over 10 relief appearances for the Mariners in 2025, so he spent most of the campaign at Triple-A Tacoma.

  • Mariners' Tayler Saucedo: Removed from 40-man

The Mariners designated Saucedo for assignment Tuesday, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.

The 32-year-old lefty will end up as the roster casualty necessary to make room for Alex Hoppe, who was acquired Tuesday in a trade with the Red Sox. Saucedo struggled to get going in 2025, turning in a 7.43 ERA and 1.88 WHIP across 13.1 innings with the Mariners. He posted a 2.75 ERA in 19.2 frames at Triple-A Tacoma, however, which may be enough for another team to put in a waiver claim on him.

  • Mariners' Tayler Saucedo: Dispatched to Tacoma

The Mariners optioned Saucedo to Triple-A Tacoma on Thursday, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

Saucedo is being sent down to make room on the active roster for Jose Castillo, who officially reported Thursday one day after being claimed off waivers. The left-handed Saucedo holds a 7.43 ERA and 12:6 K:BB over 13.1 innings for Seattle this season.

  • Mariners' Tayler Saucedo: Recalled from Tacoma

The Mariners recalled Saucedo from Triple-A Tacoma on Friday, Tim Booth of The Seattle Times reports.

Saucedo rejoins the Mariners' pitching staff after Logan Evans (elbow) was placed on the 15-day IL. Saucedo has appeared in five games for Seattle out of the bullpen this season, registering a 7.71 ERA, 2.36 WHIP and 4:3 K:BB across 4.2 innings.

  • Mariners' Tayler Saucedo: Sent down to minors

The Mariners optioned Saucedo to Triple-A Tacoma on Monday.

Saucedo took Carlos Vargas' spot on the 26-man active roster for a few days while the latter was on paternity leave, but with Vargas getting reinstated Monday, Saucedo will head back to the minors. The lefty reliever has permitted four runs with a 4:3 K:BB across 4.2 frames with the big club this season.

  • Mariners' Tayler Saucedo: Back in big leagues

The Mariners recalled Saucedo from Triple-A Tacoma on Friday.

The 32-year-old will take Carlos Vargas' spot on the active roster as Vargas heads to the paternity list. Saucedo has a 3.38 ERA in 10 appearances with Tacoma, but he's yielded four runs in 3.2 innings with the Mariners in 2025. He hasn't been on the active roster since late April.

  • Mariners' Tayler Saucedo: Returns to Triple-A

The Mariners optioned Saucedo to Triple-A Tacoma on Sunday.

The left-hander was called up by Seattle on Saturday and will return to Tacoma after firing a scoreless inning during a 14-0 victory. Saucedo has given up four earned runs in his four major-league outings this year and is unlikely to fill more than a middle-relief role if he receives another look with the Mariners.

  • Mariners' Tayler Saucedo: Up from Tacoma

The Mariners recalled Saucedo from Triple-A Tacoma on Saturday.

Saucedo was sent to the minors in early April after allowing four earned runs in just 2.2 innings. Since then, he's given up only one run in 6.1 frames at Tacoma, and he'll now rejoin the Mariners' bullpen to give depth to a pitching staff that is now without Logan Gilbert (elbow).

  • Mariners' Tayler Saucedo: Optioned to Triple-A

The Mariners optioned Saucedo to Triple-A Tacoma on Saturday.

Saucedo has gotten off to a rough start this season, with four earned runs allowed in just 2.2 innings spanning three appearances. He'll look to right the ship in the minors; meanwhile, Jesse Hahn will come up from Triple-A to fill the vacancy in Seattle's bullpen.

  • Mariners' Tayler Saucedo: Notches save Sunday

Saucedo recorded one out to earn a save over the Royals on Sunday.

Saucedo needed only two pitches to record the final out of the 10th inning during Sunday's win. He's picked up two saves and a hold this month despite getting only four outs during those three appearances. He lowered his ERA to 2.81 through 16 innings this season. Saucedo shouldn't see many save chances moving forward as Andres Munoz (back) returned to action Sunday.

  • Mariners' Tayler Saucedo: Picks up save Tuesday

Saucedo earned the save in Tuesday's 4-3 win over the Athletics after coming in to get the final out of the game. He did walk a batter before ending things.

Saucedo was called upon to get the final out of the game after Andres Munoz was forced to depart with a lower-back injury that flared up after a collision at home plate. He was tasked with stranding a runner at second and walked JJ Bleday before handling a Brent Rooker ground ball to end the game. It was Saucedo's second save of the year, though he also has two blown saves to his name as well. The 31-year-old owns a 3.00 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 15:7 K:BB in 15 innings.
