  • Mariners' Bryce Miller: Elbow feeling 100 percent

Miller said Monday that he hasn't dealt with any discomfort in his right elbow this offseason and the elbow "feels 100 percent" early in spring training, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.

Miller had two stints on the injured list last season due to a bone spur in his right elbow, but after a consultation this offseason with Dr. Keith Meister, the 27-year-old was able to avoid surgery. Though the elbow could give him trouble again at some point during the upcoming season, Miller looks to be in a good spot on the health front for the time being. He'll be looking to bounce back in 2026 after collecting a 5.68 ERA and 74:34 K:BB over 90.1 innings during the regular season in 2025.

  • Mariners' Bryce Miller: Adds 12 pounds over offseason

Miller has added 12 pounds over the offseason and touched 98.3 mph during a recent throwing session, he posted on his X account Jan. 16.

Miller missed time on two separate occasions during the 2025 season due to a bone spur in his right elbow, though he returned to pitch down the stretch of the regular season and playoffs. The righty received a platelet-rich plasma injection for his elbow in June and was reportedly considering getting another injection this offseason, though it's unclear whether he wound up receiving one. Either way, Miller appears poised to enter spring training without restrictions, but he will be a health risk in 2026 and is coming off a 2025 campaign that saw him collect a 5.68 ERA and 74:34 K:BB over 90.1 regular-season innings.

  • Mariners' Bryce Miller: Avoids arbitration with Seattle

The Mariners and Miller avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $2.4375 million contract Tuesday. The deal includes a $6.075 million club option for 2027.

The two sides were unable to come to an agreement prior to arbitration figures being exchanged earlier this month, but they've now reached a deal to avoid a hearing. Miller posted a 5.68 ERA and 74:34 K:BB over 90.1 regular-season innings in 2025 and missed time with elbow issues on two occasions. The righty returned to pitch down the stretch of the regular season and playoffs, collecting a 2.51 ERA and 9:5 K:BB over 14.1 frames covering three postseason starts. Miller appears poised to enter spring training with a clean bill of health.

  • Mariners' Bryce Miller: Could receive injection for elbow

Miller will have a follow-up appointment soon with Dr. Keith Meister to determine the next steps for treatment of a small bone spur in his right elbow, Adam Jude of the Seattle Times reports.

Miller received a platelet-rich plasma injection in early June after being diagnosed with a bone spur in his pitching elbow. He returned in August and was healthy for the rest of the regular season and playoffs, saying "the best I felt all year" was at the end of the season. Miller is not expected to require surgery, but he could be given a cortisone injection during his follow-up appointment and perhaps an additional one at the start of spring training. The 27-year-old had a disappointing regular season for the Mariners, posting a 5.68 ERA and 74:34 K:BB over 90.1 innings covering 18 starts.

  • Mariners' Bryce Miller: Four punchouts in Game 5

Miller didn't factor into the decision Friday during Game 5 of the ALCS against the Blue Jays, allowing one earned run on four hits and two walks while striking out four batters over four-plus innings.

It looked like the 27-year-old righty was about to let the game get out of hand once he loaded the bases with no outs in the fourth, but he struck out Daulton Varsho and coerced a double play out of Ernie Clement to get through the inning unscored upon. Miller came back out to begin the fifth frame but was pulled after allowing a leadoff single to Addison Barger, who eventually came around to score. Because he threw only 56 pitches Friday, Miller may be able to work out of the bullpen during a potential Game 7.
