  • Dodgers' Carlos Duran: Returns to Dodgers organization

The Dodgers signed Duran to a minor-league contract Dec. 12. Duran was traded from the Dodgers to the Athletics in April in a deal that sent Esteury Ruiz to Los Angeles. The righty was knocked around for three runs while recording just one out in his lone appearance for the A's in 2025 and was eventually booted off their 40-man roster. Duran now returns to his original organization and will likely begin the 2026 campaign in the Triple-A Oklahoma City bullpen.

  • Dodgers' Carlos Duran: Falters at Triple-A

Triple-A Oklahoma City transferred Duran to the development list Sept. 17. Duran was promoted from Double-A Tulsa to Triple-A on Sept. 14. He gave up two runs on three walks and zero hits while striking out three in 1.1 innings in his lone Triple-A appearance and was placed on the development list a few days later. This was Duran's first season back after undergoing Tommy John surgery in 2022. He knocked some rust off at Single-A Rancho Cucamonga to start the year and then had a decent showing at Double-A in the middle of the season, logging a 3.05 ERA and 48 strikeouts in 38.1 innings across 11 starts. Duran built up to 53.1 innings in his first year back and will be eligible for the Rule 5 draft this offseason if the Dodgers don't add him to the 40-man roster.

Duran underwent Tommy John surgery earlier this offseason and is expected to miss the entire 2023 season, Kyle Glaser of Baseball America reports.
