Giants' Jack Larsen: Shipped to Giants
The Mariners traded Larsen to the Giants on Friday.
Larsen sat out the first month of the season after fracturing his hamate bone, and he's slashing .313/.466/.338 through 103 plate appearances in Triple-A. Larsen isn't listed on the 40-man roster, so he'll continue to serve as organizational depth with the Giants. However, he could draw consideration for a promotion should the Giants' outfield depth be tested as the season progresses.

Mariners' Jack Larsen: Healthy again at Triple-A
Larsen (hand) has gone 6-for-24 with a 5:6 BB:K in seven games for Triple-A Tacoma since returning from the 7-day injured list May 2.
Larsen missed the first month of the minor-league season while recovering from surgery to repair a fractured hamate bone in his hand. Though he's healthy again, the 28-year-old doesn't have a spot on the Mariners' 40-man roster and will face an uphill battle to resurface in the majors in 2023 if most of Seattle's key outfielders are able to avoid injuries.

Mariners' Jack Larsen: Fracture will require surgery
Larsen's fractured hamate bone will require surgery, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.
Larsen was playing well as a non-roster invitee in camp and had a slim chance of winning one of the backup spots on the Seattle bench for Opening day. When he returns, it will now all but assuredly be at Triple-A Tacoma.

Mariners' Jack Larsen: Has hamate bone injury
Larsen is dealing with a hamate bone injury, Shannon Drayer of Seattle Sports 710 AM reports.
It's an injury which usually requires surgery, although that hasn't been confirmed yet. Larsen is in camp as a non-roster invitee and is likely slated for Triple-A Tacoma once healthy.

Mariners' Jack Larsen: Headed back to Double-A
The Mariners optioned Larsen to Double-A Arkansas on Tuesday.
Two days after getting his first call to the majors and starting in Sunday's 3-2 loss to the Astros, Larsen will return to Double-A. The Mariners' outfield depth is still being tested by a multitude of injuries, but waiver pickup Travis Jankowski was added to the active roster Tuesday and will give Seattle a more experienced backup option than Larsen.

Mariners' Jack Larsen: Logs one plate appearance in debut
Larsen, promoted from Double-A Arkansas earlier in the day, struck out in his only plate appearance before being replaced as part of a double switch in the fifth inning of Sunday's extra-inning loss to the Astros.
The rookie is making the jump to the majors without the benefit of even a single plate appearance at the Triple-A level, so he could certainly have an uphill battle for whatever time he's up with the big-league club. The current absences of Julio Rodriguez (wrist), Dylan Moore (back) and Mitch Haniger (ankle) have rendered Seattle particularly thin in the outfield, meaning Larsen should have at least a handful more opportunities to get exposure to big-league arms before he heads back to the minors.

Mariners' Jack Larsen: Called up, starting in MLB debut
The Mariners selected Larsen's contract from Double-A Arkansas on Sunday, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports. He'll start in right field and bat ninth in his MLB debut in Houston.
Seattle brought Larsen and Jarred Kelenic aboard from the minors to serve as replacements in the outfield for Julio Rodriguez (wrist) and Dylan Moore (back) after both were placed on the 10-day injured list ahead of Sunday's series finale. Though Larsen -- who slashed .260/.367/.405 with six home runs and six steals in 360 plate appearances at Arkansas -- is getting the start in the outfield Sunday alongside Jesse Winker and Adam Frazier, Kelenic is the likelier candidate to fill in for Rodriguez as a lineup regular. The decision to start Larsen in Houston is likely a result of Kelenic not being scheduled to arrive at the ballpark until after first pitch, according to Shannon Drayer of 710 ESPN Seattle.
