Jones was booted off the Marlins' 40-man roster last week before making an appearance for the big club. He has passed through waivers unclaimed and will now rejoin the bullpen at Jacksonville.

The Marlins selected Jones' contract from Triple-A Jacksonville on Thursday.
Jones earned the promotion by holding a 3.24 ERA and 19:13 K:BB over 16.2 frames with Double-A Pensacola this season. The 28-year-old will be making his major-league debut when/if he enters a game.
