Rangers' Marc Church: Recalled by Texas
The Rangers recalled Church from Triple-A Round Rock on Friday.
Church will have an opportunity to make his MLB debut out of the Rangers' bullpen this weekend against the Angels. The 23-year-old right-hander battled through a right shoulder strain for much of the season, but he returned from Round Rock's 60-day injured list in mid-August. In 11 Triple-A outings since being reinstated from the IL, Church posted a 2.87 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 19:4 K:BB over 15.2 innings.

Rangers' Marc Church: Back at full strength
Triple-A Round Rock activated Church (shoulder) from the 60-day injured list Thursday. He's since made two appearances out of the bullpen for Round Rock, giving up two runs (one earned) on four hits and no walks over two innings.
Church was placed on the 7-day injured list April 18 due to a right shoulder strain and was transferred to the 60-day IL on May 1. He made a rehab appearance with High-A Hickory on Aug. 11 before getting the green light to rejoin the Round Rock bullpen. Church retains a spot on the Rangers' 40-man roster, but a promotion to the big leagues wouldn't seem to be imminent, given how much time he's missed this season.

Rangers' Marc Church: Won't crack Opening Day roster
Church was optioned to Triple-A Round Rock on Monday, Michael Bier of Foul Territory reports.
Church appeared to be on track to make the big-league roster given his 2.53 ERA and 0.94 WHIP across 10.2 innings during spring training, but the club announced Monday that he's headed for the minor leagues. The right-hander's impressive spring is unlikely to go unnoticed, and he should factor into the bullpen mix at some point this year.

Rangers' Marc Church: Earns promotion
Church was promoted to Triple-A Round Rock on Tuesday, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Church holds a 4.50 ERA and 1.33 WHIP through 18 innings with Double-A Frisco; however, his numbers are heavily inflated by a performance in which he allowed four runs in 1.1 innings. If the 22-year-old righty is able to adjust well to Triple-A hitters, he will likely finish the season in Round Rock.
