  • Brewers' Peter Strzelecki: Back at full strength

Strzelecki recorded two strikeouts in a scoreless inning during Sunday's Cactus League game against the White Sox. Strzelecki suffered a right elbow strain last season but has since put the injury behind him. The 31-year-old looked sharp in his first action of the spring, firing 11 of his 13 pitches for strikes. Strzelecki inked a minor-league deal with the Brewers earlier in February and will continue to compete for a bullpen spot as camp rolls on.

  • Brewers' Peter Strzelecki: Nets NRI deal from Brewers

The Brewers signed Strzelecki (elbow) to a minor-league contract Monday that includes an invitation to spring training, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. Strzelecki was limited to 22 innings at the Triple-A level in 2025 due to a right elbow strain, posting a 9.41 ERA and 18:13 K:BB. He last pitched in mid-July and it's unclear whether he'll have any restrictions at the start of spring training. Strzelecki holds a 3.44 ERA and 86:30 K:BB over 83.2 frames in the majors, which includes a 36-appearance stint with Milwaukee in 2023.

  • Rays' Peter Strzelecki: Gets MiLB pact from Rays

The Rays signed Strzelecki to a minor-league contract Tuesday. Strzelecki was released by the Pirates last week after holding a 9.90 ERA and 15:12 K:BB over 20 innings at Triple-A Indianapolis. The right-handed reliever has pitched well during his chances at the big-league level with a 3.44 ERA and 86:30 K:BB across 83.2 frames. He will give the Rays some experienced relief depth at Triple-A Durham.

  • Peter Strzelecki: Cut by Bucs

The Pirates released Strzelecki on Tuesday. Strzelecki gave up just three runs in 11.2 innings with the Guardians last season, but he owns a 9.90 ERA through 20 frames in Triple-A Indianapolis in 2025. He'll now attempt to latch on with another franchise, almost certainly on a minor-league deal.

  • Pirates' Peter Strzelecki: Outrighted to Indy

Strzelecki cleared waivers Saturday and was sent outright to Triple-A Indianapolis, Noah Hiles of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports. Strzelecki was stripped of his roster spot at the end of spring training in favor of Ryan Borucki, but the former will stick with the organization at Indianapolis. Strzelecki turned in a 5.01 ERA and 1.39 WHIP across 46.2 innings with the Guardians' Triple-A affiliate last year, and a repeat of those numbers in 2025 would make it hard for him to return to the majors anytime soon.

  • Pirates' Peter Strzelecki: DFA'd by Pittsburgh

General manager Ben Cherington said Wednesday that Strzelecki will be designated for assignment, Noah Hiles of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports. The right-hander was unable to earn a place on the Pirates' Opening Day roster after being acquired from the Guardians in November, and he'll also lose his place on the 40-man roster to free up space for non-roster invitee Ryan Borucki. Strzelecki had a 2.31 ERA in 10 appearances with Cleveland in 2024 but also struggled to a 5.01 ERA at the Triple-A level.

  • Guardians' Peter Strzelecki: Ousted from 40-man roster

The Guardians designated Strzelecki for assignment Tuesday. Strzelecki was effective during his time in the majors last season, allowing just three runs over 11.2 innings with the Guardians. However, his 5.01 ERA at Triple-A Columbus makes him significantly less reliable than his MLB stat line would suggest, so the team will strip him of his 40-man spot and use it to protect fellow right-hander Franco Aleman from the upcoming Rule 5 Draft.

  • Guardians' Peter Strzelecki: Rejoins major-league club

The Guardians recalled Strzelecki from Triple-A Columbus on Friday. Strzelecki has allowed one run on five hits while striking out five across 4.2 innings during his time with Cleveland this season. He'll give the bullpen a fresh arm.

  • Guardians' Peter Strzelecki: Headed back to minors

The Guardians optioned Strzelecki to Triple-A Columbus on Sunday. The move is to make room on the 26-man roster for left-hander Joey Cantillo, who will make his major-league debut Sunday against the Phillies. Strzelecki made four outings out of the Guardians' bullpen after being recalled from Columbus on July 21. Over those four outings, the 29-year-old right-hander allowed one run on five hits while striking out five across 4.2 innings. In 29 Triple-A appearances this season, Strzelecki has a 4.18 ERA and 1.15 WHIP over 32.1 innings.

  • Guardians' Peter Strzelecki: Moves up to big leagues

The Guardians recalled Strzelecki from Triple-A Columbus on Sunday. He'll join the Cleveland bullpen as a replacement for right-hander Spencer Howard, who was designated for assignment in a corresponding move. Strzelecki tossed 5.2 scoreless innings over four relief appearances with Cleveland earlier this season but has otherwise spent the entire 2024 campaign at the Triple-A level, where he's turned in a 4.18 ERA and 1.15 WHIP over 32.1 frames.

  • Guardians' Peter Strzelecki: Acquired by Cleveland

The Guardians acquired Strzelecki from the Diamondbacks on Thursday for cash considerations and optioned him to Triple-A Columbus. • Diamondbacks' Peter Strzelecki: Booted off 40-man roster

The Diamondbacks designated Strzelecki for assignment Monday. A trade-deadline pickup from the Brewers last August, Strzelecki made only one appearance for Arizona after he struggled to an 8.76 ERA and 2.31 WHIP over his 12.1 innings at Triple-A Reno following the deal. Strzelecki will be ticketed for a relief role at Reno to begin the 2024 campaign, but he'll first have to pass through waivers after Arizona moved him off the 40-man roster Monday.

  • Diamondbacks' Peter Strzelecki: Sent down following twin bill

Strzelecki was optioned to Triple-A Reno on Sunday, Alex Weiner of ArizonaSports.com reports. Strzelecki served as the 27th man during Saturday's doubleheader against the Padres and allowed a hit and two walks during 1.1 scoreless relief innings. He'll head back to the minors but could rejoin the Diamondbacks at some point if they need additional bullpen help.

  • Diamondbacks' Peter Strzelecki: Dealt to Arizona

Strzelecki was traded from the Brewers to the Diamondbacks on Tuesday in exchange for Andrew Chafin, John Gamdaboro of Arizona Sports 98.7 FM Phoenix reports. Strzelecki has a 3.69 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 77 strikeouts in 70.2 career MLB innings, but he has split time between the majors and Triple-A each of the last two seasons. Strzelecki will be optioned to Triple-A Reno, per Alex Weiner of ArizonaSports.com, but he could come back to work in the middle innings for Arizona later this season.

  • Brewers' Peter Strzelecki: Returns to majors

The Brewers recalled Stzelecki from Triple-A Nashville on Sunday. Strzelecki had been a key setup man for Milwaukee through the first two months of the season, but he failed to record a hold or save and turned in a 5.73 ERA and 1.27 WHIP in his final 10 appearances for the Brewers before being optioned to Nashville on June 28. He allowed earned runs in each of his three appearances upon being demoted to Triple-A but had been sharp of late, allowing one unearned run on one hit and no walks while striking out six over four innings in his most recent four outings. It's unclear if the Brewers plan to immediately incorporate Strzelecki as part of the bridge to closer Devin Williams or if he'll first have to work in lower-leverage spots before working his way up the bullpen pecking order.

  • Brewers' Peter Strzelecki: Optioned to Triple-A level

Milwaukee optioned Strzelecki to Triple-A Nashville on Wednesday. Thomas Pannone has been selected from Nashville in a corresponding move. Strzelecki, 28, carries a 4.54 ERA and 37:8 K:BB in 35.2 innings of work this season at the big-league level and should get another chance soon enough.

  • Brewers' Peter Strzelecki: Tallies 10th hold

Strzelecki tossed 1.1 scoreless innings and picked up his 10th hold of the season in Tuesday's victory over the Cardinals. Strzelecki allowed three runners to reach base, but he also kept the opponent off the scoreboard for the 17th time in 20 appearances this season. Save for an outing in early May in which he allowed five earned runs, Strzelecki has been outstanding out of the Brewers' bullpen, and he will continue holding down the setup role in front of closer Devin Williams.
