  • Red Sox's Raymond Burgos: Added to Boston bullpen

The Red Sox recalled Burgos from Triple-A Worcester on Wednesday, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports. The Red Sox needed their relievers to cover 5.1 innings in Tuesday's loss to the Mariners, so Burgos will give them a fresh arm for the bullpen. Burgos has permitted eight runs with a 7:1 K:BB over 12.1 innings covering four relief appearances for Boston in 2026.

The Red Sox optioned Burgos to Triple-A Worcester on Sunday. Burgos was up as the 27th man on the roster for Saturday's doubleheader against the Yankees. He was knocked around for five runs over 2.1 innings in the second game of the twin bill and will now rejoin the bullpen at Worcester.

  • Red Sox's Raymond Burgos: Added as 27th man

The Red Sox added Burgos to the active roster as the 27th man for Saturday's doubleheader against the Yankees. Burgos will return to the big leagues to add depth to Boston's bullpen as it prepares to play two games against the Yankees. The 27-year-old southpaw has given up just three runs in 10 innings with the big club this year but will likely head back to Triple-A at the end of the day.

The Red Sox selected Burgos' contract from Triple-A Worcester on Friday. • Giants' Raymond Burgos: Selected by San Francisco

The Giants selected Burgos' contract from Triple-A Sacramento on Monday. The move corresponds with the Giants designating Trenton Brooks for assignment. In nine games with Sacramento this season, Burgos has a 1.64 ERA, 0.82 WHIP and 23:2 K:BB over 22 innings.
