Phillies' Jhoan Duran: Earns win Wednesday
Duran (1-1) earned the win Wednesday against the Nationals after retiring all three batters he faced, striking out one.
Duran was called upon for the 10th inning after the Phillies mounted a late comeback to force extras, and he only needed six pitches (four strikes) to retire the side. This was Duran's first win of the season, and he's also gone 2-for-2 in save chances early on. He hasn't allowed a run in three of his first four outings in 2026.

Phillies' Jhoan Duran: Nabs first save in opener
Duran picked up the save Thursday against the Rangers, allowing one hit and no walks in two-thirds of an inning. He struck out one.
A three-run ninth inning for Texas opened the door for a save situation, allowing the hard-throwing right-hander to enter the game and shut the door for his first save of the season. Duran is set up as Philadelphia's primary closer to open the campaign, after he dazzled a year ago with a 2.18 ERA, 0.92 WHIP and 27:1 K:BB across 20.2 regular-season frames after being acquired by the Phillies at the trade deadline.

Phillies' Jhoan Duran: Looks sharp in Grapefruit League
Duran threw a clean inning during Friday's Grapefruit League game against the Orioles. He struck out two.
Duran is now up to three scoreless frames with six punchouts and no walks during spring training. Following a trade away from the Twins at least year's deadline, the hard-throwing right-hander is all set to resume his duties as Philadelphia's closer to begin 2026. Duran delivered a 2.18 ERA, 0.92 WHIP and a sparkling 27:1 K:BB over 20.2 regular-season innings for the Phillies a year ago, successfully converting 16 of his 19 save opportunities.

Phillies' Jhoan Duran: Settles with Philadelphia
The Phillies and Duran avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $7.5 million contract Thursday, Scott Lauber of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Duran notched a career-high 32 saves in 2025, posting a 2.06 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 80:19 K:BB over 70 regular-season innings between the Twins and Phillies. The hard-throwing reliever should be one of the top closers in fantasy baseball again in 2026.
