Mariners' Colt Emerson: Advances to High-A
The Mariners promoted Emerson from Single-A Modesto to High-A Everett on Monday.
A 6-foot-1, 195-pound shortstop, Emerson has quickly established himself as one of the top prospects in the Mariners farm system and one of the top infielders in the lower rungs of the minors since Seattle selected him with the No. 22 overall pick in the 2023 First-Year Player Draft. The 19-year-old pushed his way to Everett after slashing .293/.440/.427 with two home runs, six stolen bases and an 18.9 percent walk rate over his 193 plate appearances with Modesto.

Mariners' Colt Emerson: Back in action for Nuts
Emerson (foot) is hitting .400 with three doubles and one steal in five games since being activated from the 7-day injured list with Single-A Modesto.
Emerson was activated June 29 but has only played in five of 11 games since then, although he has played in two of the last three. Perhaps his foot was still bothering him a little, or the Mariners just wanted to be very cautious with one of their top prospects. Emerson has a .300/.439/.444 slash line with two home runs, four steals and more walks (19) than strikeouts (16) in 24 games for Modesto.

Mariners' Colt Emerson: Begins rehab assignment
Emerson (foot) has played two games in his rehab assignment, going 2-for-7 while suiting up for the ACL Mariners and Single-A Modesto on Thursday and Saturday, respectively.
Emerson was able to play defense in both games, starting at shortstop and logging five innings in each. Given he's been sidelined since mid-May, the promising prospect is projected to likely remain on the rehab assignment for several more games at minimum before being officially activated to Modesto's roster, where he's fashioned a .274 average and .849 OPS across 20 games this minor-league season.

Mariners' Colt Emerson: Still weeks away
Emerson (foot) remains on Single-A Modesto's 7-day injured list and is still a few weeks away from being cleared for full baseball activities, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.
Emerson suffered a fractured left foot May 16 and was initially expected to miss around a month of action. Now three weeks removed from the injury, Emerson looks to be headed toward a lengthier absence and could miss a significant portion of July. The 18-year-old has a .441 on-base percentage and is striking out at a 14 percent clip at Modesto this season.

Mariners' Colt Emerson: Dealing with foot fracture
Emerson was diagnosed with a small fracture in his foot Tuesday and will wear a protective boot for two weeks, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.
Emerson will likely be sidelined for about a month, as he'll require some time to get back up to speed after the boot is removed. The 18-year-old is one of Seattle's top prospects and has an .855 OPS in 93 plate appearances at Single-A Modesto this year.

Emerson has a .295/.457/.443 slash line with two home runs, one stolen base, 12 strikeouts and 16 walks in 16 games for Single-A Modesto.
