Choo agreed Monday with the SK Wyverns of the Korean Baseball Organization on a one-year, $2.4 million contract, San Kang of The Dong-A Ilbo reports.
Choo has been with the Rangers since the 2014 campaign, and following the expiration of his contract, he's elected to take his talents overseas. A return to MLB can't be ruled out at this point, though the 38-year-old's career certainly appears to be winding down.
Choo exited Sunday's game against the Astros with a mild left ankle sprain.
The 38-year-old returned from the injured list stemming from a wrist injury in time for Sunday's series finale and led off with a bunt single for the Rangers, but he tumbled over first base and suffered the ankle injury. Choo's 2020 season -- and perhaps his time with the Rangers -- has come to an end. The 38-year-old is set to hit free agency this winter.

"We thought about it," Woodward said. "And I think if he's going to miss another couple days, it probably makes sense to do that. But with these series, we'd like to have him available, even if it is only for one or two games. It was worth having him miss six or seven days at least so he could play in the last three."
