Guardians' Will Dion: Optioned to Columbus
Cleveland optioned Dion to Triple-A Columbus on Friday, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports.
Dion will make his way back to Columbus after just six appearances since having his contract selected on May 25 for the big-league club. With Cleveland, the 26-year-old recorded a 5.56 ERA, 1.85 WHIP and 13:3 K:BB in 11.1 innings. Erik Sabrowski will take Dion's spot on the active roster as the corresponding move.

Guardians' Will Dion: Contract selected
The Guardians selected Dion's contract from Triple-A Columbus on Tuesday.
Dion has transitioned into a full-time reliever in 2026, and while his ERA at Columbus is a tad bloated at 4.50, he's put up an impressive 36:5 K:BB over 26 innings. The left-hander will be making his major-league debut when/if he gets into a game.
