Rays' Anderson Brito: Dealt to Tampa Bay
The Rays acquired Brito and Jacob Melton from the Astros on Friday in a three-team trade that sent Mike Burrows to the Astros and Brandon Lowe, Jake Mangum and Mason Montgomery to the Pirates, Chandler Rome and Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic report.
The 21-year-old right-hander spent the entire 2025 campaign at High-A Asheville and started all 12 games in which he appeared, registering a 3.28 ERA and 11.9 K/9 across 49.1 innings of action. Brito missed some time with an unspecified injury but was back to full strength in October.

Astros' Anderson Brito: Back at full strength
Brito (undisclosed) was activated from the 7-day injured list Sept. 25.
Brito landed on the 7-day IL in July due to an unspecified injury, and while he didn't see any action down the stretch of the minor-league season, the team has declared that he's returned to health by officially activating him. He appeared in 12 games for High-A Ashland in 2025, posting a 3.28 ERA and 1.30 WHIP with a 65:28 K:BB across 49.1 innings.

Astros' Anderson Brito: Shelved at High-A
High-A Asheville placed Brito on its 7-day injured list June 25 due to an unspecified injury.
Before spending the past month on the shelf, Brito had emerged as one of the more exciting arms in the lower levels of the Houston system. The hard-throwing righty had accrued a 3.28 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 65:28 K:BB in 49.1 innings over his 12 starts with Asheville.
