  • Braves' Jay Flaa: Removed from 40-man roster

Atlanta outrighted Flaa to Triple-A Gwinnett on Tuesday.

Flaa was optioned to Triple-A on May 31 and has since posted a 4.76 ERA and 18/9 K:BB in 11.1 innings with the minor-league club. It remains to be seen whether the righty, who's allowed four runs in 2.2 MLB innings this season, will get another big-league opportunity in 2021.

  • Braves' Jay Flaa: Optioned to Triple-A

Flaa was optioned to Triple-A Gwinnett on Monday.

Flaa made just one relief appearance during his time with the major-league club and allowed four runs on three hits and a walk while striking out two in 1.1 innings. He'll head back to the minors as part of a shuffle to make room for outfielder Abraham Almonte on the active roster.

  • Braves' Jay Flaa: Joins big-league club

Flaa was recalled from Triple-A Gwinnett by Atlanta on Sunday, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.

The 28-year-old was claimed off waivers from the Orioles earlier in May, and he'll now receive his first big-league chance with his new team. Flaa's lone appearance in Baltimore was his major-league debut, and he delivered 1.1 scoreless innings with two walks and one strikeout. He should fill a low-leverage role out of the bullpen for Atlanta.

Flaa was claimed off waivers by Atlanta on Tuesday.

Flaa made his big-league debut for the Orioles in late April, throwing 1.1 scoreless innings in his lone appearance. He was designated for assignment on Saturday but could get more chances in Atlanta, albeit probably in a low-leverage role.
