    Witt went 2-for-4 with a walk and a stolen base in Tuesday's 1-0 extra-inning win over the Nationals. Witt's 10th-inning single and an error by the Nationals led to the Royals scoring the decisive run of the game.     Witt went 3-for-4 in Friday's 2-1 loss to the Giants. Witt's bat has slowed down a bit in September -- he's gone 18-for-65 (.277) over 17 contests. This was just his fourth multi-hit effort of the month, though he was the only one who get much going versus the Giants' pitching staff. The team sent Witt for imaging after the game likely as a precaution, and the results came back negative. Kansas City's medical staff figures to give the star shortstop a quick look Tuesday to make sure there isn't any significant swelling, but all signs point to him being in the starting lineup for the second game of the series.
