  • Marlins' Aiva Arquette: On shelf with thumb injury

Arquette was placed on the 7-day injured list at Double-A Pensacola on Tuesday due to a thumb injury, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

The 22-year-old prospect hasn't played since June 26, and Arquette is expected to miss around six weeks with the injury. The seventh overall pick in the 2025 First-Year Player Draft had just begun to find his footing after a late-May promotion from High-A, homering five times in his last 12 games for Pensacola while producing a .250/.291/.558 slash line with a 14.5 percent strikeout rate.

  • Marlins' Aiva Arquette: Bumped to Double-A

The Marlins promoted Arquette from High-A Beloit to Double-A Pensacola on Monday, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

The seventh overall pick in the 2025 First-Year Player Draft slashed .276/.333/.517 over 63 plate appearances at Beloit after missing the beginning of the season while recovering from core-muscle surgery, and that was good enough for the Marlins to decide the 22-year-old needed a new challenge. The aggressive promotion schedule for Arquette suggests he could make his big-league debut as soon as early 2027 if he continues to hold his own on his way up the ladder.

  • Marlins' Aiva Arquette: Back in action at High-A

Arquette (groin) has gone 3-for-8 with three doubles, five RBI, two runs and one stolen base in two games since being reinstated from High-A Beloit's 7-day injured list Tuesday.

Arquette missed the first month of the season after undergoing core muscle surgery in late February. The 22-year-old infielder has returned to Beloit after posting a .673 OPS at High-A in his first professional season in 2025, but Arquette's hot start could put him in line for a quick promotion to Double-A Pensacola.

  • Marlins' Aiva Arquette: Undergoes surgery

Arquette underwent core muscle surgery Friday, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

Arquette paused his offseason workouts after suffering a left groin injury. His discomfort returned after he restarted his activities during spring camp, so he went under the knife to address the issue. He'll require 4-to-6 weeks of rest before resuming baseball activities.
