Pelicans' Brandon Ingram: Poor shooting display Friday
Ingram racked up 11 points (4-12 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds and five assists over 26 minutes during Friday's 115-88 loss to Orlando.
Jose Alvarado and Brandon Boston carried a depleted Pelicans team in this loss, but Ingram's overall outing was disappointing. It's not a secret that the veteran forward should be putting up better numbers and operating as a go-to player on offense, especially considering all the absences the Pels are dealing with at the moment. That said, this was the first subpar outing from Ingram since the beginning of November. In five games this month, Ingram is averaging 23.2 points, 5.6 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game while shooting 46 percent from the field. Ingram will aim to bounce back in Monday's matchup against the Nets.

Pelicans' Brandon Ingram: Hits for 20 in Wednesday's loss
Ingram produced 20 points (9-20 FG, 2-8 3Pt), five rebounds, five assists, one block and one steal across 39 minutes during Wednesday's 131-122 loss to Cleveland.
The 27-year-old forward has scored at least 20 points in four straight games and seven of nine to begin the season, helping to cover for the Pelicans' injury-depleted backcourt. Ingram is producing at the upper end of his usual range, averaging 24.1 points, 6.1 boards, 4.6 assists, 2.4 threes and 1.6 combined steals and blocks while shooting 49.4 percent from the floor, which would be his best mark since 2018-19.

Pelicans' Brandon Ingram: Strong effort not enough Monday
Ingram ended with 27 points (11-24 FG, 1-8 3Pt, 4-5 FT), five rebounds, seven assists and one steal over 33 minutes during Monday's 118-100 loss to the Trail Blazers.
Ingram delivered an impressive performance Monday, but as has been the case of late, his standout efforts weren't enough to lift a depleted Pelicans team that's missing the majority of their would-be starting lineup due to injuries. Ingram has scored over 25 points in his last three games, and while the Pelicans continue to rack up losses, Ingram has benefitted from increased usage.

Pelicans' Brandon Ingram: Goes for 32 points in loss Sunday
Ingram accumulated 32 points (12-19 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 4-5 FT), seven rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal in 29 minutes during Sunday's 126-111 loss to Atlanta.
The Pelicans were extremely depleted for this matchup, and Ingram was the team's go-to player on offense, so it wasn't surprising to see him reach the 30-point threshold once again -- something he's achieved in three of his seven contests to date. Ingram should continue to have a dominant role on offense for a Pelicans team that will be without CJ McCollum (thigh) and Dejounte Murray (hand) for at least a few more weeks. Plus, Ingram's short-term upside could be even higher as long as Zion Williamson continues to deal with a hamstring problem.

Pelicans' Brandon Ingram: Pours in 30 points during defeat
Ingram provided 30 points (12-17 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 3-3 FT), four rebounds and two assists in 31 minutes during Tuesday's 124-106 loss to the Warriors.
Ingram and Zion Williamson carried the team during Tuesday's loss, and they were the only players to finish with double-digit scoring. He's started the season with a bang, averaging 24.5 points, 6.8 rebounds and 3.5 assists over the first four games.

Pelicans' Brandon Ingram: Plays hero in Friday's win
Ingram ended Friday's 105-103 victory over the Trail Blazers with 21 points (8-20 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 1-2 FT), eight rebounds, four assists, one block and two steals across 35 minutes.
His last bucket, with just 4.9 seconds left on the clock, proved to be the game-winner. It's only been two games, but Ingram has had a healthy and impressive start to the season as he looks ahead to unrestricted free agency next summer. Whether that adds fuel to the trade rumors that keep swirling around him or quells them will likely depend on how the rest of the Pelicans roster performs.

Pelicans' Brandon Ingram: Pours in 33 to tip off season
Ingram provided 33 points (13-23 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 4-4 FT), seven rebounds, two assists, one block and two steals in 31 minutes during Wednesday's 123-111 victory over the Bulls.
The 27-year-old forward had a strong start to what could be his final season in New Orleans. Ingram is set to be a free agent next offseason, and his primary focus in 2024-25 could be on staying healthy. He hasn't played more than 64 games in a season since he was a teenage rookie with the Lakers in 2016-17. Ingram's usage could also see a spike early in the current campaign after Dejounte Murray suffered a fractured left hand Wednesday, an injury that figures to keep him out for at least four weeks. Ingram has averaged better than 20.0 points, 5.0 boards and 5.0 assists in each of the last three seasons, but things seem to be lining up for him to potentially put together career-best numbers in 2024-25.

Pelicans' Brandon Ingram: Scores 18 points in preseason loss
Ingram posted 18 points (7-13 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds and three assists across 21 minutes in Tuesday's 118-98 preseason loss to the Rockets.
This was Ingram's lone appearance of the preseason, and even though one game is not enough to draw conclusions from, the former All-Star is expected to play a prominent two-way role for the Pelicans while being one of the primary offensive weapons alongside Zion Williamson. Ingram averaged 20.8 points, 5.7 assists, 5.1 rebounds and a combined 1.4 steals-plus-blocks across 64 regular-season appearances in 2023-24, making it the third straight year in which he averaged at least 20 points, five boards and five assists per game.

Pelicans' Brandon Ingram: Will not play Monday
Ingram (rest) will not play in Monday's preseason game against Orlando, Christian Clark of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
Coach Willie Green said Ingram's absence is not because of an injury.
