Knicks' Ariel Hukporti: Increased role Sunday
Hukporti closed Sunday's 144-114 victory over the 76ers in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals with five points (1-4 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 3-6 FT), four rebounds and one assist over 16 minutes.
Hukporti logged double-digit minutes for just the third time this postseason, taking advantage of the fact that the game was done and dusted early. Although his role is likely to remain very limited, it is worth noting that opposing teams have started to go in the direction of intentionally fouling Mitchell Robinson. Should this continue, Hukporti could be called upon in specific situations, given that he is at least somewhat reliable from the free-throw line.

Knicks' Ariel Hukporti: Pulls down nine boards off bench
Hukporti supplied five points (2-2 FG, 1-1 FT), nine rebounds and two blocks in 17 minutes during Monday's 137-98 victory over the 76ers in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
Karl-Anthony Towns and Mitchell Robinson got into foul trouble in the first half, allowing Hukporti to see his most playing time of the postseason in a lopsided win. Hukporti has appeared in just four of New York's past seven contests, averaging 2.0 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.3 blocks in 9.3 minutes per game in the 2026 playoffs.

Knicks' Ariel Hukporti: Headed to bench
Hukporti will come off the bench for Saturday's Game 1 against the Hawks, Kevin Chouinard of the Hawks' official site reports.
Karl-Anthony Towns (elbow) and Mitchell Robinson (ankle) skipped the Knicks' regular-season finale, but both those guys will be back in action Saturday, which could make it tough for Hukporti to get into the rotation. As a reserve this season, Hukporti has averaged 1.9 points and 2.5 rebounds in 7.8 minutes per game.

Hukporti didn't play in New York's' previous two contests heading into Friday night. While the 23-year-old narrowly missed his first double-digit scoring effort since the 132-101 win over the Wizards, it was still an above-average showing. With the Knicks locked into the No. 3 seed in the Eastern Conference, Hukporti might see extended action in Sunday's meeting with the Hornets. However, he likely won't see the floor much (if at all) throughout the postseason, barring injuries to Mitchell Robinson or Karl-Anthony Towns.

Hukporti served as the primary backup behind Karl-Anthony Towns, replacing Mitchell Robinson, who was ruled out as part of his injury management. Hukporti wasn't prolific, but he shot the ball well and racked up five boards along with a swat in just 21 minutes. However, there is no reason to chase him in fantasy outside of very deep formats.
