Mavericks' Ryan Nembhard: Lackluster shooting in SL loss
Rotowire
Nembhard ended with 12 points (3-11 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 3-3 FT), five assists, two rebounds and one steal over 29 minutes in Saturday's 91-70 Summer League loss to the Lakers.
Nembhard struggled from the field, though his 12 points were enough to lead the team in Saturday's blowout loss. The 23-year-old is coming off a rookie season in which he saw significant run, averaging 6.6 points, 5.3 assists and 2.2 rebounds in 19.5 minutes per contest across 60 regular-season appearances (27 starts).

Mavericks' Ryan Nembhard: Records double-double in loss
Rotowire
Nembhard finished with 15 points (6-15 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 1-2 FT), three rebounds, 11 assists, one steal and one block over 35 minutes in Thursday's 101-90 Summer League loss to Golden State.
Despite shooting an inefficient 1-for-6 from deep, Nembhard led the Mavericks in scoring while finishing with a double-double. The 23-year-old was a sporadic contributor for Dallas in 2025-26, though he averaged 9.4 points, 2.9 rebounds, 6.8 assists and 0.4 steals across 25.7 minutes in 27 regular-season starts. Nembhard might have a tough time being as productive if the Mavericks' starters stay healthy during the 2026-27 campaign. However, he will get an opportunity to carve out a stable role off the bench.

Mavericks' Ryan Nembhard: Sees 11 minutes in win
Rotowire
Nembhard finished with four points (2-3 FG, 0-1 3Pt) and two assists in 11 minutes for Canada in Friday's 110-84 World Cup Qualifiers win over Puerto Rico.
Nembhard played a minor role off the bench in Canada's stacked backcourt that features Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Nickeil Alexander-Walker and Andrew Nembhard. The second-year guard is expected to fight for a rotation role in Dallas after the team picked up his $2.15 million team option.

Mavericks' Ryan Nembhard: Scores 15 points in loss to Bucks
Rotowire
Nembhard finished with 15 points (4-11 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 3-3 FT), two rebounds and three assists over 21 minutes in Saturday's 97-83 California Classic Summer League loss to Milwaukee.
Although Nembhard didn't have a quality shooting performance, he still had a team-high 15 points. The 23-year-old recently had his $2.2 million team option picked up by the Mavericks. While he wasn't a routine producer for the Mavs during the 2025-26 campaign, he stepped up when needed by averaging 9.4 points, 2.9 rebounds, 6.8 assists and 0.4 steals on 40.4 percent shooting from deep across 25.7 minutes in 27 regular-season starts. Nembhard likely won't see consistent playing time for Dallas in 2026-27, though he could receive sporadic opportunities to start when necessary.

Rotowire
The Mavericks picked up Nembhard's $2.2 million team option Monday, according to NBA reporter Marc Stein.
This was a no-brainer for the Mavericks. Nembhard began the 2025-26 season on a two-way deal, but he played his way onto a standard contract. Across 60 regular-season games, he averaged 6.6 points, 5.3 assists and 2.2 rebounds.

Mavericks' Ryan Nembhard: Inks standard contract with Dallas
Rotowire
The Mavericks converted Nembhard's two-way contract to a two-year standard contract Saturday, NBA reporter Marc Stein reports.
A spot opened up on the roster after Tyus Jones was waived, which the Mavericks opted to fill with Nembhard on a two-year deal that includes a team option for the 2026-27 season. Nembhard has spent most of February in the G League with the Texas Legends but has seen meaningful playing time at the NBA level this season, including a 16-game stretch from late November to early January in which he started and averaged 9.6 points, 6.1 assists, 2.3 rebounds and 1.3 threes over 24.9 minutes per game. He last saw NBA action Feb. 5 but should see some consistent minutes off the bench for the rest of the regular season, especially for as long as Cooper Flagg (foot) is sidelined.

Mavericks' Ryan Nembhard: Only 12 minutes in loss
Rotowire
Nembhard recorded three points (1-4 FG, 1-2 3Pt) and three assists in 12 minutes during Tuesday's 110-100 loss to the Celtics.
Even with both Brandon Williams (leg) and D'Angelo Russell (illness) sidelined, Nembhard was unable to make the most of his opportunity. In what has been a roller coaster of a rookie season, it appears as though Nembhard could struggle to play meaningful minutes, at least for the foreseeable future. With that said, he is someone to keep an eye on, especially if Dallas opts to throw in the towel at any point.

Rotowire
Nembhard recorded four points (2-7 FG, 0-1 3Pt), three rebounds, five assists and one steal over 21 minutes during Monday's 114-97 win over the Knicks.
Although Nembhard has maintained a sizable role since shifting to the bench, his fantasy appeal remains very low. Across his last eight games, he's seen 20.7 minutes per contest with 7.0 points, 5.6 assists, 2.5 rebounds and 1.0 three-pointers on 38.9 percent shooting from the field.

Rotowire
Nembhard closed Thursday's 116-114 loss to the Jazz with seven points (3-8 FG, 1-4 3Pt), two rebounds and four assists in 22 minutes.
The Mavericks are rolling with Cooper Flagg as their starting point guard right now, and he seems a lot more ready for the role this time around. Nembhard has been trending in the wrong direction for a while now, and he's averaging just 5.0 points, 3.8 assists, 1.8 rebounds and 0.7 three-pointers in 17.1 minutes per contest over his last six games.

Rotowire
Nembhard amassed nine points (4-7 FG, 1-2 3Pt), two rebounds and three assists in 22 minutes during Thursday's 123-108 loss to Philadelphia.
Although Nembhard continues to hold onto the starting job, his production has really been lacking lately. Over his last 10 games, he's averaging 6.4 points, 5.7 assists, 2.1 rebounds and 0.6 three-pointers per game.

Rotowire
Nembhard accumulated four points (2-5 FG, 0-1 3Pt), one rebound and two assists across 17 minutes during Thursday's 126-116 loss to the Warriors.
Brandon Williams caught fire off the bench with 26 points, so the Mavericks rode the hot hand Thursday. Nembhard continues to trend in the wrong direction for Dallas, as he's averaging 6.6 points, 6.4 assists and 2.1 rebounds over his last seven outings while shooting 36.8 percent from the field.

Mavericks' Ryan Nembhard: Tough showing in loss
Rotowire
Nembhard posted four points (2-13 FG, 0-4 3Pt), four rebounds, eight assists and one steal in 25 minutes during Monday's 119-113 loss to the Pelicans.
Nembhard has hit a rough patch, as he's been held to single-digit points in four of his last five games. In that stretch, he has shot 34.1 percent from the field for averages of 6.2 points, 7.2 assists, 2.2 rebounds and 0.6 three-pointers. He'll need to turn things around quickly if he's going to hold onto a starting role.

Mavericks' Ryan Nembhard: Scoreless in victory
Rotowire
Nembhard recorded zero points (0-4 FG, 0-3 3Pt), two rebounds and five assists over 21 minutes during Friday's 119-111 win over the Nets.
Nembhard failed to score despite the win, turning in his worst performance since being handed the starting job. Given what we have seen from Jason Kidd this season, the point guard rotation is likely to be one of the more unpredictable position battles in the entire league. At this point, Nembhard remains a hold in standard leagues, while Brandon Williams is also worth keeping an eye on. However, that could change if and when Kidd opts to mix things up.

Mavericks' Ryan Nembhard: Makes history in victory
Rotowire
Nembhard closed Monday's 131-121 win over the Nuggets with 28 points (12-14 FG, 4-5 3Pt), 10 assists and three rebounds in 35 minutes.
Nembhard got the starting nod for a third consecutive game and delivered a dominant performance in the win. The two-way player was the team's second-leading scorer and dished out a team-high 10 dimes, becoming the first undrafted rookie in NBA history to record 25 points and 10 assists with zero turnovers. He'll likely continue to see meaningful playing time at the NBA level, and if he continues to impress, he could earn a standard contract at some point this season.

Mavericks' Ryan Nembhard: Dishes out seven dimes in return
Rotowire
Nembhard (knee) recorded two points (1-7 FG, 0-2 3Pt), seven assists and three rebounds across 17 minutes off the bench in Monday's 106-102 loss to the Heat.
Though Nembhard hadn't been a regular part of the Dallas rotation before being shut down just over a week ago due to a sprained left knee, head coach Jason Kidd didn't hesitate to ride the rookie heavily down the stretch Monday in his return to action. Nembhard didn't check into the game until midway through the third quarter, but he served as Dallas' point guard for all but one of the game's final 17 minutes while Brandon Williams and D'Angelo Russell were relegated to the bench. While he didn't shoot the ball well, Nembhard excelled as a distributor, and he could prove to be an excellent source of assists if Kidd elects to expand his role moving forward at the expense of Williams and/or Russell. Nembhard notably led all of Division I with an average of 9.8 assists per game as a senior at Gonzaga during his final season of college in 2024-25.

Mavericks' Ryan Nembhard: Iffy for Monday
Rotowire
Nembhard (knee) is questionable for Monday's game against the Heat.
Nembhard has missed the last five games due to a left knee sprain, but he has a chance to return to action Monday. If he can suit up, he could see some minutes, especially if Brandon Williams (back) is downgraded from questionable to out.
