  • Bulls' Matas Buzelis: Strikes for 22 in Thursday's loss

Buzelis amassed 22 points (7-19 FG, 4-11 3Pt, 4-5 FT), six rebounds, one assist, two blocks and two steals over 35 minutes during Thursday's 142-130 loss to the Lakers. The second-year forward didn't appear to be hampered by a minor ankle injury that he's been playing through in March, as Buzelis scored at least 20 points for the third straight game and the sixth time in his last seven. Over that stretch, he's averaging 23.7 points, 6.6 boards, 3.6 threes, 2.7 assists, 1.4 blocks and 1.0 steals.

  • Bulls' Matas Buzelis: Getting green light vs. LA

Buzelis (ankle) has been cleared to play Thursday against the Lakers. Buzelis entered the day with a probable tag and has since been upgraded to available. He's fresh off a career-high 41-point night Tuesday in a 130-124 overtime victory against Golden State.

  • Bulls' Matas Buzelis: Tabbed probable for Thursday

Buzelis is listed as probable for Thursday's game against the Lakers due to a sprained right ankle. Buzelis popped up on the injury report for the opening leg of a back-to-back set due to an ankle injury. The second-year forward, who's fresh off his first 40-point game, is expected to play through the issue Thursday night.

  • Bulls' Matas Buzelis: Available Sunday

Buzelis (ankle) will play in Sunday's game against the Kings. Buzelis missed Thursday's game with an ankle injury, but he will return to action Sunday. Over his last five appearances, he holds averages of 19.6 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 29.4 minutes per contest.

  • Bulls' Matas Buzelis: Iffy to face Sacramento

Buzelis (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Kings. Buzelis is in danger of missing a second consecutive contest due to a right ankle sprain. If the second-year forward is ultimately ruled out, Leonard Miller and Guerschon Yabusele would be candidates to see an uptick in minutes, especially if Patrick Williams (quadriceps) is downgraded from questionable to out.

  • Bulls' Matas Buzelis: Won't go Thursday

Buzelis (ankle) is out for Thursday's game against the Suns. Buzelis will miss his first game of the season after picking up an ankle injury in Chicago's previous matchup Tuesday against Oklahoma City. Jalen Smith (calf) and Patrick Williams (quadriceps) are also out, so it'll be up to Leonard Miller, Lachlan Olbrich and Nick Richards to step up in the frontcourt.

  • Bulls' Matas Buzelis: Listed as questionable

Buzelis (ankle) is questionable for Thursday's game against the Suns. Buzelis didn't return to Tuesday's loss to Oklahoma City due to an ankle sprain, and the forward is considered day-to-day. Additionally, Josh Giddey (ankle) is also questionable for Chicago. If Buzelis ends up sitting, the Bulls could turn to Leonard Miller with so many injuries on the roster.

  • Bulls' Matas Buzelis: Fails to return Tuesday

Buzelis didn't return to Tuesday's game against Oklahoma City due to an ankle sprain, K.C. Johnson of Chicago Sports Network reports. He ended with 11 points (3-9 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 3-4 FT), five rebounds and three assists in 20 minutes. Buzelis went down near the end of the third quarter and wasn't able to return after being diagnosed with an ankle sprain. It remains to be seen whether he'll be ready to play Thursday in Phoenix, though he'll presumably be re-evaluated within the next day or so to determine his availability moving forward.

  • Bulls' Matas Buzelis: Hits for 20 in big win

Buzelis amassed 20 points (7-15 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 2-2 FT), seven rebounds, three assists and two blocks across 32 minutes during Sunday's 120-97 victory over the Bucks. The second-year forward reached 20 points for a third straight game while making an impact at the defensive end once again. Over his last 11 games, Buzelis is averaging 18.2 points, 5.9 boards, 3.1 threes, 2.3 assists and 1.9 blocks.

  • Bulls' Matas Buzelis: Productive in loss

Buzelis supplied 20 points (6-16 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 6-9 FT), seven rebounds, four assists, one block and two steals over 36 minutes during Thursday's 121-112 loss to the Trail Blazers. Buzelis put together another strong showing offensively and led the Bulls in scoring, but it wasn't enough to prevent Chicago from dropping another game. The second-year forward has been one of the few bright spots for the Bulls lately, as the team now owns an 0-11 record in February. Buzelis should continue to see opportunities to shine in the starting lineup.

  • Bulls' Matas Buzelis: Chips in team-high 15 in loss

Buzelis racked up 15 points (4-12 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 4-5 FT) and four rebounds across 26 minutes during Sunday's 105-99 loss to the Knicks. The Bulls got incredibly balanced scoring up and down the lineup -- nine of the 10 players who got on the court for Chicago scored at least eight points -- but Buzelis' 15 was the high-water mark. The second-year forward has scored at least 15 points in seven of nine games in February, averaging 14.4 points, 5.2 boards, 2.4 threes, 2.3 blocks and 2.0 assists on the month.

  • Bulls' Matas Buzelis: Career-high six blocks

Buzelis amassed 15 points (5-10 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 3-4 FT), six rebounds, three assists, six blocks and two steals over 30 minutes during Saturday's 126-110 loss to Detroit. Despite yet another Bulls loss, Buzelis turned in a strong two-way performance, including a career-high six blocks. After a somewhat frustrating start to the season, the sophomore has now played at least 30 minutes in 10 of the past 14 games, seemingly earning the trust of head coach Billy Donovan. During that time, Buzelis has averaged 14.9 points, 6.2 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.8 blocks and 2.6 three-pointers, good enough for top-90 value.

  • Bulls' Matas Buzelis: Drills trio of threes

Buzelis recorded 15 points (6-13 FG, 3-7 3Pt), eight rebounds, four assists, two blocks and one steal in 29 minutes during Wednesday's 124-105 loss to Boston. Buzelis finished one point shy of tying the team high on the night and two rebounds shy of a double-double. He's also in a good rhythm with his shot after back-to-back games with three makes from behind the arc. Over his past five games, Buzelis is averaging 3.4 threes per game.

  • Bulls' Matas Buzelis: Hits for team-high 22 in loss

Buzelis ended with 22 points (8-16 FG, 5-10 3Pt, 1-3 FT), two rebounds, one assist and five blocks across 36 minutes during Tuesday's 131-115 loss to Milwaukee. The second-year forward led the Bulls in scoring as he reached 20 points for the third time in the last five games. He also racked up a career-high five blocks. With Chicago beginning a rebuild Tuesday by shipping Nikola Vucevic to Boston, Buzelis should become even more of a focal point in the offense. He's drained multiple three-pointers in 10 of the last 11 games, averaging 15.5 points, 5.6 boards, 3.2 assists, 2.8 threes and 1.8 blocks over that stretch while shooting 42.5 percent from beyond the arc.

  • Bulls' Matas Buzelis: Reaches 20-point mark

Buzelis finished with 20 points (7-11 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), eight rebounds and one block over 32 minutes during Wednesday's 113-110 loss to the Pacers. Buzelis was efficient as a scorer and active on the glass, as he ended just two boards shy of recording what would've been his first double-double since Dec. 5. The second-year guard has reached the 20-point mark in five of his 14 appearances since the beginning of January, so while he's not a go-to option on offense for Chicago, he's producing enough to be a reliable option across all fantasy formats. He's averaging 16.8 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game this month.

  • Bulls' Matas Buzelis: Keeps up solid run Monday

Buzelis chipped in 11 points (4-8 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five rebounds and four assists across 22 minutes during Monday's 129-118 loss to the Lakers. Buzelis' minutes can vary more than most other consistent starters, but he still scored in double figures in his sixth consecutive game Monday. The second-year forward has averaged 15.0 points, 5.3 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.5 blocks in 28.7 minutes per game in his last six appearances.

  • Bulls' Matas Buzelis: Goes for 21 points in win

Buzelis closed with 21 points (8-14 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 1-2 FT), two rebounds, four assists, two blocks and one steal over 30 minutes during Tuesday's 138-110 victory over the Clippers. Buzelis continued his recent run of production, filling the box score once again. After a frustrating start to the season, it appears as though Buzelis may have finally earned the trust of head coach Billy Donovan, having played at least 30 minutes in seven of the past 10 games. For those who were able to navigate the early-season difficulties, things are certainly looking more positive moving forward.

  • Bulls' Matas Buzelis: Puts up 19 points in loss

Buzelis logged 19 points (7-14 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 3-4 FT), six rebounds and two assists in 37 minutes during Tuesday's 119-113 loss to the Rockets. Buzelis reached at least 19 points for the 13th time this campaign in Tuesday's loss. Across 39 regular-season games, the second-year forward is on pace to return ninth-round value in nine-category fantasy formats with averages of 15.0 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 0.7 steals, 1.4 blocks and 1.8 three-pointers.

  • Bulls' Matas Buzelis: Hits for 20 in Wednesday's loss

Buzelis closed Wednesday's 108-93 loss to Detroit with 20 points (7-15 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 2-3 FT), three rebounds, one assist, four blocks and one steal in 33 minutes. The second-year forward shook off an illness to score at least 20 points for the third time in the last four games, while the four rejections were a season high. Buzelis has been on a roll the last few weeks, and over the last 11 games, he's averaging 18.3 points, 5.0 boards, 2.7 threes, 1.8 assists and 1.5 blocks.
... See More ... See Less
  • Bulls' Matas Buzelis: Questionable for Wednesday

Buzelis is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Pistons with an illness. This is a new issue for Buzelis, but the questionable tag suggests that he's day-to-day. Wednesday's game is the front end of a back-to-back set, so the Bulls may be cautious. Patrick Williams and Julian Phillips could be more involved for the Bulls if Buzelis can't give it a go.
