Freeman was efficient while racking up seven rebounds, tying Myles Turner for the team high. Freeman injured his knee during Thursday's preseason win over the Cavaliers, though he was able to accumulate 24 minutes Monday, so the injury is likely already past him. Freeman couldn't bend his knee much on his way off the floor and likely headed to the locker room for further evaluation to determine the severity of the injury. Freeman finished the game with nine points (3-6 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), nine rebounds, an assist and a block across 16 minutes off the bench.

The Pacers selected Freeman with the No. 50 pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, Dustin Dopirak of The Indianapolis Star reports.
Freeman spent five years at Akron before declaring for the NBA Draft. In 2023-24, he averaged 18.6 points, 12.9 rebounds, 1.7 blocks and 1.6 assists in 35 games. While Freeman has shown impressive rebounding abilities for a 6-foot-7 forward, there is no obvious path for playing time right out of the gate.
