Pistons' Simone Fontecchio: Ties season high in minutes
Fontecchio ended with nine points (2-6 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 4-4 FT), two rebounds and two assists over 24 minutes during Monday's 125-124 overtime win over Miami.
With Tobias Harris (wrist) sidelined, Fontecchio tied his season high in minutes played with 24, a mark he hadn't reached since Nov. 3. Thompson got the starting nod Monday due to Tobias Harris (hand) being out, concluding his second start of the year one rebound shy of a double-double while coming up one point short of the 20-point mark. Thompson set new season-high totals in scoring and rebounds after entering Monday yet to record more than nine points in six outings.

Beasley stepped into the starting lineup for the eighth time of the year Monday due to Jaden Ivey (knee) being inactive. Stewart has been ruled out for the remainder of Monday's game against the Heat due to a hyperextended left knee. He'll finish the game with four points (2-4 FG, 0-1 3Pt) and three rebounds across seven minutes.
Stewart grabbed his left knee and limped back to the locker room following an awkward landing on a shot contest. Pistons' Paul Reed: Back with Detroit
The Pistons re-signed Reed to a one-year contract Monday, Omari Sankofa II of the Detroit Free Press reports.
Detroit waived Reed on Saturday, after he had appeared in 12 of the club's first 26 games while averaging 4.8 points and 1.9 rebounds over 10.3 minutes per game. He was in the midst of the second season of a three-year, $25.56 million deal, but the Pistons were unwilling to keep him on board with his current contract since he would have been fully guaranteed $7.7 million in salary for 2025-26 had he remained on the roster through January. After Reed cleared waivers, the Pistons elected to bring him back at a more palatable salary figure for a third-string center. He'll become an unrestricted free agent at season's end.

With Jalen Duren (wrist) sidelined, the 25-year-old worked his way into the rotation behind Isaiah Stewart.
