Barnes (undisclosed) has agreed to an injury settlement with the Buccaneers, per NFL Communications.
Aiming to secure a 53-man roster spot as a depth option, Barnes instead hit injured reserve early in camp. The two sides have now reached an agreement to part ways, meaning Barnes will be free to pursue other opportunities once he's healthy.

Buccaneers' Tavaris Barnes: Reverts to IR
Barnes (undisclosed) cleared waivers and reverted to the Bucs' injured reserve Wednesday per the NFL Media official transaction log.
Barnes was also placed in on IR ahead of the 2017 season due to a knee injury. It is unclear what the issue is now, but he will once again be sidelined for the season unless he and the team can come to terms on an injury settlement.

Buccaneers' Tavaris Barnes: Injures right knee
Barnes injured his right knee during Thursday's preseason game against the Redskins, Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Barnes last saw regular-season action in 2015, when he played 131 snaps over 12 games with the Saints and posted just five tackles. He faces long odds of making the Bucs roster, with this current injury further hurting his chances.

Buccaneers' Tavaris Barnes: Signed by Tampa Bay
Barnes was signed by the Buccaneers on Wednesday, Scott Smith of the team's official site reports.
Barnes, who measures 6-foot-4 and 282 pounds, will provide depth on the defensive line as the Bucs look to bolster their run defense. He played in 12 games with the Saints as a rookie in 2015 but spent his 2016 campaign on IR after being signed by the Seahawks.

Barnes spent the year on injured reserve due to an undisclosed injury.
Barnes was waived with an injury designation in August and landed on the Seahawks IR after clearing waivers. He'll have a chance to make the tail end of the roster in 2017 as a special teams player and depth defender.
