Nelson Spruce: Doesn't make 53-man roster
Spruce was waived by the Chargers on Saturday, Ricky Henne of the team's official site reports.
Spruce was a standout at Colorado from 2012-15 during his collegiate years, but the undrafted wide receiver has yet to play a down in the NFL.

Chargers' Nelson Spruce: Signs contract with Chargers
Spruce signed a contract with the Chargers on Monday, Ricky Henne of the team's official site reports.
An undrafted free agent back in 2016, Spruce made the Rams' 53-man roster that season before succumbing to injury and ultimately being waived. In 2017, he spent most of his time as a member of the Bears' practice squad, though he never received a call-up. Considering Spruce has yet to see action in a regular-season contest, he'll be a long shot to provide any sort of fantasy value with the Chargers, assuming he makes the final roster.

Nelson Spruce: Let go by Kansas City
The Chiefs waived Spruce on Wednesday.
Spruce inked a contract with the Chiefs in late March, but he apparently didn't impress the coaching staff enough during last weekend's rookie minicamp. As a result, Spruce will move on from Kansas City and look to latch on with another squad prior to training camp.

Rams' Nelson Spruce: Only plays one offensive snap Saturday
Spruce played five snaps -- with only one coming on offense -- during Saturday's preseason win over the Raiders.
Spruce was more involved in the preseason opener against Dallas, catching six passes for 30 yards, so it was discouraging to see his role reduced so significantly. The undrafted free agent has an uphill fight to earn a roster spot out of training camp, and seems to be on the outside looking in at the moment.
