  • Adrian Amos: Headed to Bay Area

The 49ers signed Amos to the practice squad Tuesday, Matt Barrows of The Athletic reports. Amos played in 16 regular-season games between the Texans and Jets in 2023, and finished with 28 tackles (23 solo) and one pass defended. He signed with the Jaguars in early August, but he was unsuccessful in making the 53-man roster at the end of training camp. Amos will provide much-needed depth for the 49ers, as George Odum and Ji'Ayir Brown are the only healthy safeties on the active roster.

  • Jaguars' Adrian Amos: Headed to Duval

Amos signed a deal with the Jaguars on Tuesday, Jordan Schultz of BleacherReport.com reports. Amos began the 2023 season with the Jets, then joined the Texans in December after being waived. • Texans' Adrian Amos: Finds new home

Amos signed a contract with the Texans on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Amos was waived by the Jets on Saturday and was able to clear waivers, making him a free agent. The veteran saw his role shrink in New York as the season went along and paved the way for his departure. Amos should help provide some depth and stability at safety for Houston, who has dealt with multiple injuries at the position this season, including having M.J. Stewart (shoulder) and Eric Murray (knee) on injured reserve for the time being.

  • Adrian Amos: Parts ways with Jets

Amos was waived by the Jets on Saturday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. Amos and the Jets reportedly both agreed to part ways. This is not too surprising, as the veteran safety has seen his role reduced since the first four weeks of the season. He will now be free to look for a new opportunity of his choosing, assuming he clears waivers.

  • Packers' Adrian Amos: Paces both clubs with 11 stops

Amos recorded 11 tackles (nine solo) in Sunday's 26-20 win over the Dolphins. Amos' 11-tackle performance on Christmas Day ties his previous career high in that category, which he set in Week 17 of the 2017 campaign. The veteran safety has now registered double-digit stops on three separate occasions this season, and he'll continue serving as one of Green Bay's main defensive contributors when the Packers host the Vikings in a critical New Year's Day matchup.

  • Packers' Adrian Amos: Five stops during SNF

Amos recorded five tackles (four solo) in Sunday's 27-17 loss to the Bills. Amos only put up a moderate stat line against Buffalo's high-powered offense, though he still tied linebackers Quay Walker and Preston Smith for the team's second-most tackles in this contest. After totaling nine interceptions over the last five seasons, the safety has yet to pick off an opposing quarterback in 2022. Amos should have a chance to register a more productive outing against the Lions this coming Sunday.

  • Packers' Adrian Amos: Cleared to play in London

Amos (concussion) is active for Sunday's game against the Giants in London, Mike Spofford of the Packers' official site reports. Amos didn't progress beyond limited participation in progress this week, but he apparently was able to clear all five stages of the NFL's concussion protocol in advance of the 9:30 a.m. ET kickoff. The 29-year-old is expected to start at safety and play his typical high volume of snaps.

  • Packers' Adrian Amos: Best tackling season of career

Amos notched 93 tackles (75 solo), eight pass breakups and two interceptions across 17 regular-season appearances in 2021. Amos, who hasn't missed a game since 2017, will be entering the final year of his contract with the Packers in 2022. The 28-year-old is locked into an every-down role and thus remains on the IDP radar, but a lack of consistent playmaking renders him a low-upside fantasy option.

  • Packers' Adrian Amos: First interception this season

Amos had eight tackles (six solo) and an interception in Sunday's 25-22 victory over the Bengals. Amos did not make a mark outside the tackle columns through the Packers' first nine halves of the campaign, but he registered his first 2021 pick on Cincinnati's first drive of the second half. Amos is now up to 37 tackles (30 solo) on the season, which puts him on pace to break the 100-tackle mark for the first time in his career.

  • Packers' Adrian Amos: Leads team in tackles in Week 1

Amos made nine tackles (seven solo) in Sunday's 38-3 loss to the Saints. Amos' nine total tackles led the team and his seven solo stops also tied for the most among Packers defenders. • Packers' Adrian Amos: Restructures deal with Green Bay

Amos, who was due to count $10.3 million on this year's salary cap, restructured his deal Friday, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports. After having two of his best NFL seasons with the Packers, Amos proved to be a dependable safety option and is now signed through 2022. Recording over 80 tackles and at least eight pass breakups for two years in a row, the 27-year-old will return for at least two more seasons with the team.

  • Packers' Adrian Amos: Seals victory with late pick

Amos set season highs with nine total tackles and seven solo stops and also added an interception in Sunday's victory over the Bears. Amos made a lot of plays against his former team and snuffed out any lingering hope the Bears had to win the game by picking off a Mitch Trubisky pass with just over three minutes to go in the contest. Amos made far more of an impact in the second half of the season than the first, as after tallying 35 tackles (27 solo), one pass deflection and no interceptions over the first eight games, he racked up 48 tackles (39 solo), eight deflections and two interceptions over his final eight appearances.

  • Packers' Adrian Amos: Totals seven tackles

Amos had seven tackles (six solo) during Sunday's 41-25 win over the Bears. The 27-year-old tied for the team lead in tackles with Raven Greene, as he equaled his season high for the third time. Amos has played every defensive snap in all but two games for the Packers this season, but his modest tackle numbers (4.6 per game) limit his IDP value.

Amos led the Packers in defensive snaps during his first year with the team, recording 84 tackles (68 solo), one sack, two interceptions and eight passes breakups. He's poised to play a similarly heavy role in the secondary again in 2020.

Amos (pectoral) started all 16 regular-season games in his first season with the Packers and recorded a career-high 84 tackles (68 solo), two interceptions, a sack, and eight pass deflections. Amos was the steady safety the Packers expected him to be when they signed him to a four-year deal last offseason, leading all defenders in snaps played (99.6 percent) and finishing second on the team in tackles. The extent of the pectoral injury he suffered in the NFC Championship Game is not yet known, but assuming he is not dealing with something particularly serious, he will be locked in as the Packers' starting strong safety when the 2020 season gets underway.

  • Bears' Adrian Amos: Intercepts second pass of season

Amos intercepted a pass while adding two tackles in Chicago's Week 11 win over the Vikings. Amos intercepted his second pass over the past three weeks, and during that span he's also recovered a fumble while adding a sack. On the season, he's averaging 4.3 tackles, so his IDP value has come via his recent surge of big-play production. Considering those types of plays are highly unpredictable, Amos' weekly downside makes him a risky lineup option.

  • Bears' Adrian Amos: Busts out in blowout win

Amos intercepted a pass while adding a sack and seven tackles in Chicago's Week 9 win over the Bills. After performing as a solid IDP in each of the last two seasons, Amos had averaged fewer than five tackles without a single sack or interception before this week's eruption. Unless he builds upon this performance in the near future, he's lacked the upside to be a reliable weekly lineup option.
