  • Steelers' Isaac Seumalo: Ruled out for Week 1

    Coach Mike Tomlin said Tuesday that Seumalo (pectoral) won't suit up Week 1 versus the Falcons, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports. Tomlin said he expects Seumalo back on the field "sooner rather than later," but he declined to provide a clearer return timetable than "week-to-week" for the starting offensive lineman. In the meantime, Alan Saunders of SteelersNow.com reports that Spencer Anderson will draw the start at left guard Sunday at Atlanta.

    Seumalo (shoulder) is active for Saturday's game against the Colts, Teresa Varley of the Steelers' official site reports. The starting left guard was listed as questionable Thursday after missing practice all week. Seumalo has been dealing with the injury since the Steelers' Week 13 loss to the Cardinals, but he still played in the team's Week 14 defeat to the Patriots. The eighth-year pro has started all 13 games this season.
