Broncos' Wil Lutz: Nails game-winning kick
Lutz made his lone field goal and both of his extra-point tries during the Broncos' 17-14 overtime win over the Seahawks on Thursday.
It was a relatively quiet night for Lutz, who had just two kick attempts (both PATs) in the first half. However, he answered the call in overtime with a 53-yard field goal to seal the win for the Broncos. It was his second make of 50-plus yards this season, and through six games, Lutz has gone 9-for-12 on field-goal attempts and 9-for-9 on extra-point tries. The Broncos will hit the road for Week 7 against the Cardinals on Sunday, Oct. 25.

Broncos' Wil Lutz: Misses field goal in Week 5 win
Lutz went 3-for-4 on field-goal attempts and connected on both of his extra-point tries during the Broncos' 23-17 win over the Chargers on Sunday.
Lutz extended Denver's lead to 10-3 with a 34-yard field goal in the second quarter before making two more field goals in the fourth, though he also missed a 42-yarder earlier in the period that would have given the Broncos a 10-point cushion. Lutz has missed a field goal in each of the Broncos' last three games, with two of those misses coming from within 50 yards. The Broncos will operate on a short week, as their next game is a Week 6 home tilt against the Seahawks on Thursday Night Football.

Broncos' Wil Lutz: Another missed FGA in Week 4
Lutz went 2-for-3 on field-goal attempts in Sunday's 24-14 loss to the 49ers.
Lutz made a 52-yard field goal in the first quarter and later added a 40-yard make in the fourth quarter. The kicker did miss his final kick of the day, pushing a 58-yard field-goal try wide right with 1:18 left in regulation. Lutz has missed a field-goal attempt in back-to-back games, and he's now gone 5-for-7 on field-goal tries, including 2-for-4 from 50-plus yards, over four contests during the regular season.

Broncos' Wil Lutz: Misses lone FGA in Week 3 win
Lutz missed his one field-goal attempt and went 2-for-2 on PATs in Sunday's 30-26 win over the Rams.
With the Broncos trailing 16-0 in the first half, coach Sean Payton went for two after each of the team's first two touchdowns instead of using Lutz for the point-after attempts. Prior to that, Lutz missed a 43-yard field goal try when he hit the left upright. On the season, Lutz has attempted just four field goals and five extra points, making him an uninspiring fantasy kicker.

Lutz made both of his field-goal attempts and both PATs in Sunday's 20-13 win over the Jaguars.
Lutz made kicks from 20 yards and 45 yards out as the Broncos won a defensive battle. The kicker's consistency put eight points on the board, securing the win over a Jaguars team that missed a 54-yard field goal in the fourth quarter.

Lutz converted both field-goal attempts and made his sole extra-point try in Friday night's 33-13 preseason loss to the Packers.
Lutz's seven points were over half of the Broncos' total scoring for the night. The kicker succeeded from 53 and 38 yards in the contest, continuing to prove he is the clear primary kicker for the team. Lutz made 28 of 32 field goals during 17 regular-season games in 2025, nailing four of six attempts from 50 yards or greater.

Broncos' Wil Lutz: Has solid hold on No. 1 kicker job
Lutz, who signed a contract extension with Denver last November, enters the 2026 campaign as the team's clear primary kicker, Bob Morris of SI.com reports.
Lutz has been very reliable since joining the Broncos in 2023, playing in all 51 of the team's regular-season games and making 89.0 percent of his field-goal tries. He's converted 12 of 18 attempts from 50-plus yards during that time and hasn't missed any extra points over the past two years. Morris notes Lutz's contract includes no guaranteed money in 2028, but with most of his salary guaranteed from 2026 to 2027, the veteran kicker is essentially locked in as Denver's starting kicker for at least the next two years.
