Browns' Elgton Jenkins: Officially signs with Cleveland
Jenkins (ankle) and the Browns agreed to terms on a contract Wednesday, Kelsey Russo of the team's official site reports.
Per Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com on Tuesday, the contract is a two-year deal worth $24 million. Jenkins spent the first seven years of his NFL career with the Packers. He was named to the NFC Pro Bowl roster in 2020 and 2022 and started at center for the first nine games of the 2025 regular season before he suffered a season-ending fractured ankle in Week 10 against the Eagles. The Browns have committed significant resources to improving their offensive line by signing Jenkins, Tytus Howard and Zion Johnson.

Browns' Elgton Jenkins: Expected to join Cleveland
Jenkins (lower leg) is expected to sign with the Browns, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Jenkins is set to sign a two-year, $24 million deal with $20 million guaranteed. The former Packer is a two-time Pro Bowl center and was a staple of the Packers' offensive line. The 30-year-old's release was primarily due to Green Bay needing to clear cap space.

Elgton Jenkins: Being released by Green Bay
The Packers are releasing Jenkins (lower leg), Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Jenkins, a two-time Pro Bowler, is being released to free up roughly $19.5 million in cap space for Green Bay, with only $4.8 million in dead cap. The veteran center is expected to have a strong market in free agency. After he underwent surgery in November to repair a left lower-leg fracture it remains to be seen whether Jenkins is yet back to full health, but he ought to be in 100 percent form by the start of training camp.

Packers' Elgton Jenkins: Set to undergo surgery
Jenkins is slated to undergo a procedure to repair a lower-leg fracture that he sustained against the Eagles on Monday, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
Head coach Matt LaFleur told reporters Wednesday that the severity of Jenkins' injury means that the 2019 second-rounder is "highly unlikely to return this season, per Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com. Sean Rhyan is slated to start at center for the rest of the 2025 campaign.

Jenkins was injured in the second quarter of Monday night's loss to the Eagles and has been diagnosed with an ankle fracture.
