Mostert played one snap on offense and did not log a carry or target during Sunday's 32-20 loss to the Jets. He also played one snap on special teams.
Mostert's disastrous 2024 campaign ended on a fittingly quiet note, as he totaled 85 carries for 278 yards and two touchdowns across 13 regular-season appearances. The veteran running back also secured 19 of 23 targets for 161 yards. Mostert's production totals in 2024 stand as a sharp contrast to his 2023 numbers, in which he scored 21 times and surpassed 1,000 yards. The 32-year-old remains under contract with Miami for 2025, but the Dolphins have the option of a potential out for only $1 million in dead cap.

Dolphins' Raheem Mostert: Inefficient in Week 17 win
Mostert rushed six times for three yards during Sunday's 20-3 win over Cleveland. He also secured both of his targets for 16 yards.
Mostert, De'Von Achane and Jeff Wilson were all inefficient out of the backfield versus the Browns, despite a game script in which Miami got out to an early lead and would have benefited from an ability to lean on the run. Mostert carried the ball eight times for 31 yards and caught both his targets for 15 yards during Sunday's 39-17 win over the 49ers.
De'Von Achane (190 scrimmage yards and one touchdown on 24 touches) remains the clear lead option out of the backfield for Miami, but Mostert has reclaimed his grip on the No. 2 role since returning from a one-game absence due to a hip injury. After limited practices Wednesday and Thursday, Mostert got in a full session Friday and is ready to return following a one-game absence. It's been a challenging 2024 for the 32-year-old running back, as he's compiled a 65-236-2 rushing line while averaging a career-low 3.6 yards per carry. Dolphins' Raheem Mostert: Optimism for Week 15
Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel said Friday he's "optimistic" Mostert (hip) will be able to play Sunday versus the Texans, Travis Wingfield of the Dolphins' official site reports.
Mostert has been limited in practice as of late due to a hip injury, the same issue that forced him to sit out Week 14 against the Jets. Even if he's active at Houston on Sunday, Mostert's opportunity share isn't guaranteed to bring fantasy relevance. The veteran back has combined for just 10 carries for 22 yards across his last four appearances, in addition to five grabs for 46 yards on seven targets.

Mostert was a limited participant in practice throughout last week before he was inactive for Sunday's overtime win over the Jets. With that in mind, he'll likely need to upgrade to full practice participation by Friday in order to approach this weekend's game against the Texans without an injury designation. If Mostert remains sidelined, however, added snaps out of the backfield would be available to reserve backs Jaylen Wright and Jeff Wilson.
