  • Donald Parham: Headed to Mile High City

Parham signed with the Broncos' practice squad Wednesday, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports. Parham spent the first four seasons of his NFL career with the Chargers, during which he accumulated 67 catches for 764 yards and 11 touchdowns across 47 regular-season games. The Broncos have Adam Trautman and Greg Dulcich as their top two tight ends on the depth chart, and Parham should have a good chance of being elevated to the active roster at some point during the regular season.

  • Chargers' Donald Parham: Released by Bolts

The Chargers released Parham on Tuesday. Parham had some hype as a fantasy breakout candidate early in his career but never progressed beyond being a part-time player and occasional red-zone weapon. Eleven of his 67 career receptions have gone for touchdowns, including a career-high four TDs on 27 catches last year. The 27-year-old may draw interest elsewhere as a pass-catching specialist.

  • Chargers' Donald Parham: Big performance in Week 18

Parham recorded five receptions on six targets for 83 yards in Sunday's 13-12 loss to the Chiefs. Parham had been inactive for the last three games, initially due to a shoulder injury but then as a healthy scratch. However, he had plenty of opportunity with the Chargers' receiving corps beat up -- both Gerald Everett (knee) and Joshua Palmer (knee) left the game -- and he delivered a career-best yardage performance as a result. He accounted for three catches of more than 15 yards and proved to be one of the team's better offensive threats on the day. Parham is under contract in Los Angeles for the 2024 season, but he has a minimal cap hit, so he will likely have to compete for his roster spot.

  • Chargers' Donald Parham: Out again

Parham (coach's decision) is listed as inactive for Sunday's matchup with the Broncos. This makes two straight weeks that Parham will sit out as a healthy scratch and his third straight game missed overall. Stone Smartt and Nick Vannett will back up Gerald Everett at tight end.

  • Chargers' Donald Parham: Not playing Saturday

Parham (coach's decision) is inactive for Saturday's contest against the Bills. Parham didn't play in last week's annihilation at the hands of the Raiders due to a shoulder injury, but the big-bodied tight end was able to practice in fully capacity throughout the week. As a result, it's clear the new coaching regime doesn't favor the veteran.

  • Chargers' Donald Parham: Clear of injury report

Parham (shoulder) isn't listed on the Chargers' first Week 16 injury report Tuesday. Parham was listed as limited on all three Week 15 practice reports before being inactive for last Thursday's game at Las Vegas. With his status now improving, he'll resume working behind L.A.'s top tight end Gerald Everett on Saturday against the Bills. Overall, Parham already has set career highs across the board with his 22-202-4 line on 34 targets through 13 contests this season.

  • Chargers' Donald Parham: Inactive Thursday

Parham (shoulder) is inactive for Thursday night's game against the Raiders. The backup tight end was a limited participant in practice Wednesday. Parham only played 15 snaps in Week 14 against the Broncos, his second-lowest total of the season. Nick Vannett should see more snaps in his absence.

  • Chargers' Donald Parham: Deemed questionable for Thursday

Parham (shoulder) is questionable for Thursday's game against the Raiders. Parham apparently hurt his shoulder in Sunday's loss to Denver, a game in which he played his fewest snaps since Week 4. He was estimated as a limited practice participant Wednesday, so it's difficult to gauge his chances of suiting up Thursday. Starting tight end Gerald Everett (hip) has been cleared to play in the contest, and Easton Stick will serve as the Chargers' starting quarterback with Justin Herbert (finger) out for the season, so Parham's fantasy prospects aren't promising even if he does manage to play this week.

  • Chargers' Donald Parham: Remains limited

Parham (shoulder) was listed as a limited participant on Tuesday's practice estimate. Parham's participation is strictly an estimate as the team held a walkthrough practice in preparation for Thursday's matchup against the Raiders. The Chargers will likely hold a more formal practice Wednesday, which Parham's status for could provide a better clue as to his availability to play in the Week 15 matchup.

  • Chargers' Donald Parham: Limited to begin short week

Parham (shoulder) was listed as a limited participant on Monday's practice estimate. Parham and fellow tight end Gerald Everett (hip) were both listed as limited as the Chargers began their preparations for Thursday's road game against the Raiders. While Parham would gain some appeal if he ultimately suits up and Everett doesn't, the entire Los Angeles passing game is likely facing a significant downgrade with Easton Stick expected to start at quarterback in place of Justin Herbert (finger).

  • Chargers' Donald Parham: Struggles to produce

Parham brought in two of his four targets for 12 yards in Sunday's 6-0 win over the Patriots. Parham's four targets Sunday was fourth-best among the team, and it also marked his seventh game with two or more receptions. The backup also recorded 38 offensive snaps, which is only one less than starting tight end Gerald Everett, but he was still underutilized compared to Everett. The 26-year-old has yet to record a game this season with five or more receptions and will continue to be a reserve option as long as Everett stays healthy.

  • Chargers' Donald Parham: Zeros on the board in loss

Parham didn't record a target in Sunday's 20-10 loss to the Ravens. After coming off a season-high six targets and 57 yards in Week 11 with teammate Gerald Everett injured (chest), Parham struggled to find opportunities in the passing game, recording his third outing of the season with no catches. Although on the field for 28 snaps, the 26-year-old was outplayed by Everett, who finished with four receptions for 42 yards and a touchdown, and even had one less target than third-string tight-end Stone Smartt (one). With a struggling team in need of a spark late in the season, Parham should have some opportunities to make plays but will struggle to find a sufficient workload if Everett continues to be healthy in the coming weeks.

  • Chargers' Donald Parham Jr.: Week 12 Waiver Priority List

We'll see if Gerald Everett (chest) can play in Week 12 against Baltimore, but if he's out then Parham can be a quality replacement option. Everett has missed two games in the past four weeks, and Parham scored at least 9.7 PPR points in each outing, including Week 11 at Green Bay with four catches for 57 yards on six targets. It's not an easy matchup against the Ravens, but Justin Herbert needs help in the passing game, so Parham would be a low-end starter in deeper leagues. He's worth adding for up to 5 percent of your FAB.

  • Chargers' Donald Parham: Solid display Sunday

Parham caught four of six targets for 57 yards in Sunday's 23-20 loss to the Packers. Parham put together a season high in yardage while teammate Gerald Everett (chest) was sidelined. Along with Parham's production, fellow tight end Stone Smartt scored a 51-yard touchdown Sunday, giving Los Angeles a great return from the position despite missing its top option. Parham's stock in Week 12 versus the Ravens figures to be somewhat dependent on Everett's availability.

  • Chargers' Donald Parham Jr.: Sleeper TEs

Gerald Everett (back) is hurt, and Parham could be a solid replacement option if Everett is out in Week 11 at Green Bay. Everett missed Week 8 against Chicago with a hip injury, and Parham had four catches for 43 yards and a touchdown on five targets against the Bears. There have been five tight ends with at least five targets against the Packers this season, and four of them scored at least 8.7 PPR points. Consider Parham a low-end starter in deeper leagues if Everett is out.

  • Chargers' Donald Parham: Playing Week 11 sans Everett

Parham (hip) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Packers. Parham is good to go after logging a full practice Friday. He'll be the top available tight end for the Chargers, as Gerald Everett (chest) has been ruled out. Parham scored three touchdowns in the season's first three games, but he has just one TD since then and has exceeded 22 yards only once in 2023.

  • Chargers' Donald Parham Jr.: Sleepers (Start/Sit)

Gerald Everett (back) missed practice Wednesday, and Parham could be a solid replacement option if Everett is out in Week 11 at Green Bay.

  • Chargers' Donald Parham: Dealing with hip injury

Parham didn't practice Wednesday due to a hip injury. The severity of Parham's injury isn't clear, but it's not ideal that he's missing the Chargers' first Week 11 practice, especially with top tight end Gerald Everett (back) also sidelined for practice. Parham played 43 percent of the snaps on offense in the Chargers' 41-38 loss to the Lions this past Sunday, finishing with two catches for 18 yards on two targets.

  • Chargers' Donald Parham Jr.: Week 11 Waiver Priority List

Parham could get a boost in value if Gerald Everett (back) is out in Week 11 at Green Bay. Everett missed Week 8 against Chicago with a hip injury, and Parham had four catches for 43 yards and a touchdown on five targets against the Bears. If Everett is out then Parham would be a low-end starter in all leagues, and he's worth adding for 1 percent of your FAB.

  • Chargers' Donald Parham: Hardly utilized again

Parham caught both of his targets for 18 yards in the 41-38 loss to the Lions on Sunday. Parham once again received a red-zone target, but he was unable to bring it down. He continues to see close to 30 snaps a game on average, but he's drawn just 10 total targets over the last four contests in which Gerald Everett has been healthy.
