  • Cowboys' Donovan Ezeiruaku: Ready for training camp

Ezeiruaku is all set to participate in the Cowboys' training camp activities, Terence Watson of cowboyswire.com reports. Ezeiruaku underwent a procedure for a hip issue in February but was able to participate in some drills during OTA's in early June. The strongside linebacker is now back to full strength and ready to return to the field full-time.

  • Cowboys' Donovan Ezeiruaku: Progressing in recovery

Ezeiruaku (hip) participated in some drills during the Cowboys' OTAs, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports. Per Archer, Ezeiruaku was not taking part in a team session, so there's evidently still some work to do before he's back to full strength. As long as he's healthy, he projects to play a major role on the edge in 2026 along with offseason trade acquisition Rashan Gary and rookie first-rounder Malachi Lawrence.

  • Cowboys' Donovan Ezeiruaku: Recovering from hip surgery

Ezeiruaku is five weeks removed from a hip procedure that will limit his participation in offseason activities, though he is expected to be ready for the start of training camp, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports. Ezeiruaku suited up for all 17 regular-season games in his rookie year, totaling 40 tackles (20 solo), including 2.0 sacks, plus one forced fumble. He wasn't listed on any of Dallas' final injury reports, but it appears he managed that production while combating a hip issue. As long as he's ready for the start of training camp, Ezeiruaku's recovery shouldn't impede his ability to take a step forward in his development for Year 2.

  • Cowboys' Donovan Ezeiruaku: Has big role in rookie season

Ezeiruaku totaled 40 tackles, including 2.0 sacks, and forced a fumble over 17 games during the 2025 regular season. Ezeiruaku was a second-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft and filled a key role for Dallas' defense in his first pro campaign. The Boston College product logged a defensive snap count over 50 percent in 12 of the Cowboys' final 13 games, with the exception being Week 18 against the Giants. Ezeiruaku figures to take on a similarly significant role next season and will look to grow as a pass rusher after notching a modest 2.0 sacks as a rookie.

  • Cowboys' Donovan Ezeiruaku: Produces first career sack

Ezeiruaku recorded four tackles, including 1.0 sacks, in Sunday's win over the Commanders. The 2025 second-round pick had been getting fairly consistent pressure through the first six weeks of the season, but Sunday's sack of Marcus Mariota was his first as a pro. Ezeiruaku has collected 16 tackles (11 solo) and a forced fumble in addition to the sack through seven games to begin his NFL career.
