Vikings' Jamin Davis: Gets first sack of season
Davis had a sack and two total pressures, according to Pro Football Focus, in Sunday's win over Atlanta.
Davis played ten snaps on defense as he got some time as a reserve linebacker. The 2021 first-round pick of Washington could be used in obvious passing situations to help the pass rush after joining the Vikings Nov. 26 from Green Bay's practice squad, which he'd signed to following his release from Washington early in the season.

Vikings' Jamin Davis: Plays nine defensive snaps Sunday
Davis logged 1.0 sacks in Sunday's 42-21 win over the Falcons.
Davis was signed off the Packers' practice squad to the Vikings' active roster Nov. 26 to add some depth at inside linebacker. He's played just 13 snaps on defense in his two outings with Minnesota, but he made the most of his opportunities Sunday when he sacked Kirk Cousins for a six-yard loss midway through the second quarter. Davis could see his snap count steadily increase over the next four games as he gets acclimated to the Vikings' defensive playbook.

Vikings' Jamin Davis: Headed to Minnesota
The Vikings signed Davis off the Packers' practice squad Tuesday.
After being cut by the Commanders on Oct. 22, Davis managed to catch on with the Packers' practice squad Oct. 29, though he hasn't been elevated to Green Bay's active roster. Adding Davis to the 53-man roster gives the Vikings much-needed depth at inside linebacker after Ivan Pace (hamstring) was placed on injured reserve Tuesday. While Pace is sidelined, Davis and Brian Asamoah will serve as Minnesota's rotational inside linebackers behind starters Blake Cashman and Kamu Grugier-Hill.

Jamin Davis: Catches on with Green Bay
The Packers signed Davis to the practice squad Tuesday.
Davis was released by the Commanders on Oct. 22 after seeing limited playing time on defense across five regular-season games, during which he accumulated 13 tackles (eight solo). Davis gives the Packers additional depth at linebacker, and the 2021 first-round pick could be elevated for Sunday's game against the Lions if starting outside linebacker Quay Walker is unable to clear concussion protocols.

Jamin Davis: Cut loose by Washington
The Commanders released Davis on Tuesday, Zach Selby of the team's official site reports.
Davis, the Commanders' first-round pick of the 2021 NFL Draft, has seen his playing time this season diminish as he regressed to a rotational role behind starting defensive ends Dorance Armstrong (ribs) and Clelin Ferrell. Davis' tenure with Washington will end with 282 combined tackles, including 7.0 sacks, one interception, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries across 50 regular-season games (including 36 starts). The 25-year-old will explore his options and look for a fresh start elsewhere.
