Sae Tautu: Cut by Saints
Tautu was waived by the Saints on Tuesday, Josh Katzenstein of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
Tautu inked a reserve/future contract with the Saints in January after spending 2017 on injured reserve, but the club has decided to move on from the linebacker instead to open up a spot on the 90-man roster for undrafted rookie Taylor Stallworth.

Saints' Sae Tautu: Returns to New Orleans
Tautu signed a reserve/future contract with the Saints on Monday, The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
Tautu was waived by the Saints in August with an injury settlement after placed on injured reserve with an MCL sprain earlier in the month. A full offseason in the team's program should help the 25-year-old's chances of cracking the 53-man roster in 2018.

There's still no detailed description of what Tautu injured in his knee, but he's being waived nonetheless. The undrafted rookie was a unlikely to make the 53-man roster anyways, and if he clears waivers, he'll be designated for injured reserve.

Saints' Sae Tautu: Undergoes MRI on Sunday
Tautu is dealing with a knee injury and underwent an MRI on Sunday, Herbie Teope of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
Early reports indicate that the injury in question could be an MCL sprain, but we'll have to wait and see before this can be confirmed. Tautu, a rookie out of BYU, will likely have to perform well during the preseason in order to earn a spot on the 53-man roster.
