Steelers' Trey Griffey: Signs futures deal
Griffey signed a reserve/future contract with the Steelers on Monday, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.
Griffey went undrafted in 2017 and spent this past season on the Steelers' practice squad after previously joining the team on a futures deal. The 24-year-old has yet to see NFL action as he is set to begin a second offseason in Pittsburgh.

Griffey went unclaimed on waivers and the Steelers were able to sign him to their practice squad as a result. The Arizona product lacks experience after failing to play a single down during his rookie campaign in 2017.

Steelers' Trey Griffey: Inks contract with Pittsburgh
The Steelers signed Griffey to a reserve/future contract Monday.
Griffey went undrafted out of Arizona last spring and has since spent time with both the Colts and Dolphins, but didn't appear in a regular-season game for any team in 2017. He'll be competing for one of two or three roster spots at receiver in Pittsburgh, and will likely need to impress on special teams in order to stick with the team into the 2018 campaign.

Griffey and the Dolphins agreed to a contract on Monday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Griffey was most recently waived by the Colts. The Arizona product joins a crowded group of receivers trying to earn a roster spot. Albeit a long shot, his most likely route to the final roster figures to be through special teams.

Griffey had 79 receptions for 1,241 yards and six touchdowns in 44 career games at Arizona. He'll try to catch on elsewhere once he's healthy.
