Raiders' Brandon Barnes: Lands in Oakland
Barnes signed a contract with the Raiders on Friday.
Barnes was waived/injured by the Lions back in May and had been on the team's injured reserve until he was waived a couple weeks ago. Now, he'll join the Raiders for the preseason, but given their current tight end depth, he should be considered a long shot to make the final roster.

Brandon Barnes: Waived from IR
Barnes (undisclosed) was waived from the Lions' injured reserve list Friday.

Lions' Brandon Barnes: Lands on IR
Barnes (undisclosed) cleared waivers and was placed on injured reserve Tuesday, Michael Rothstein of ESPN.com reports.
After going undrafted in 2017, Barnes spent his rookie campaign looking for employment and eventually latched onto the Lions' practice squad in late December. Barnes was a long shot to make the 53-man roster anyway with tons of talent ahead of him in the depth chart.

Brandon Barnes: Waived with injury designation
Barnes (undisclosed) was waived with an injury designation Monday, Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site reports.
Barnes has been with Detroit since joining the team's practice squad last December. While it isn't clear what sort of injury he's dealing with, Barnes will revert to injured reserve if he passes through waivers unclaimed.

Lions' Brandon Barnes: Earns futures contract
Barnes signed a reserve/future contract with the Lions on Monday, Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site reports.
Barnes joined the Lions practice squad in late December and predictably remained there for the final game of the season. The 22-year-old will enter the team's offseason program and earn a potential roster spot in training camp.

Brandon Barnes: Joins Detroit's practice squad
The Lions signed Barnes to their practice squad Tuesday.
The undrafted rookie out of Alabama State previously attended training camp with the Jets before being waived in September. Barnes is unlikely to receive a promotion to Detroit's 53-man roster ahead of Sunday's season finale against the Packers, but he could get the opportunity to compete for a spot on the team in training camp next summer.

Brandon Barnes: Cut by Jets
Barnes was waived by the Jets on Friday, Connor Hughes of The Star-Ledger reports.
Barnes didn't make an impact in the box score during the preseason, so his exclusion from the 53-man roster shouldn't come as a huge surprise. He will now hit the free-agent market, assuming he goes unclaimed through waivers as expected.
