  • David Durden: Reaches injury settlement

The Cowboys waived Durden (undisclosed) off injured reserve with an injury settlement Monday, per the NFL's transaction log. Durden reverted to Dallas' IR after being dropped with an injury designation in late August, but he's now been removed after both parties agreed to an injury settlement Monday. Once Durden is fully past his undisclosed injury, he's free to sign with any team again.

  • Cowboys' David Durden: Lands on IR

Durden (undisclosed) reverted to Dallas' injured reserve list Wednesday, per the NFL's transaction log. Durden was waived with an injury designation Monday, though the issue he is dealing with hasn't been disclosed. He's since cleared waivers, and unless he reaches an injury settlement with Dallas, he'll spend the entire 2024 season on IR.

  • Cowboys' David Durden: Officially done for the year

The Cowboys placed Durden (knee) on injured reserve Tuesday, Nick Harris of the team's official site reports. Durden has officially been diagnosed with a torn ACL, Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News reports, giving him a long road to recovery for the 2024 campaign. The 24-year-old undrafted rookie out of West Florida had logged an impressive training camp prior to suffering the knee injury.

  • Cowboys' David Durden: Torn ACL feared

Durden (knee) suffered a non-contact knee injury during Wednesday's practice, and there is concern he may have suffered a torn ACL, Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News reports. Durden was carted off the practice field with a knee injury Wednesday, and the wideout will undergo an MRI on Thursday to determine the severity of the issue. Gehlken reports that multiple people familiar with the situation are concerned that Durden's ACL may not be intact. The 24-year-old has impressed as an undrafted free agent rookie in camp thus far. A serious knee injury would be a major blow for Durden, as the receiver seemed like a good bet to make the Cowboys' practice squad to start the season at the very least.

  • Cowboys' David Durden: Suffers leg injury in practice

Durden was carted off the field with an apparent leg injury while doing 1-on-1 work in training camp Wednesday, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports. Durden suffered a concussion earlier in camp but had shown enough improvement from that issue to participate in 1-on-1 drills. However, he's now dealing with a leg injury that appears to be serious given the need for him to be carted off the field. Durden has been competing for a depth role at wide receiver after signing with Dallas as an undrafted free agent in May.

  • Cowboys' David Durden: In concussion protocol

Durden will not suit up for Saturday's preseason-opening matchup with the Jaguars due to a concussion, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports. Durden presumably suffered the concussion recently at practice. The undrafted free agent is competing against a plethora of pass catchers in an already crowded Cowboys wide receiver room, so his absence is not advantageous for his chances going forward. He will need to clear the league's concussion protocols before getting the opportunity to suit up for any game going forward.
