Wesley (hip) has been ruled out for New Orleans' matchup versus the Panthers on Sunday.
Wesley will remain on injured reserve despite having been a full participant in practice throughout the week. The 26-year-old has been on injured reserve since August, and the team will have until Nov. 26 to officially activate him.

Saints' Barry Wesley: Designated to return
The Saints designated Wesley (undisclosed) to return from injured reserve Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Wesley has been sidelined since August with an undisclosed injury but managed to return to practice Wednesday as a full participant. The team will now have 21 days to officially activate him off injured reserve.

Saints' Barry Wesley: Will start season on IR
New Orleans placed Wesley (undisclosed) on its injured reserve list with a designation to return Tuesday, Ross Jackson of WWL Louisiana reports.
Wesley will first be eligible to suit up for game action in Week 5, when the Saints play host to the Giants. It's not clear if he'll be healthy by then though, as it's still unknown exactly what kind of injury he's dealing with.

Falcons' Barry Wesley: Sticking around Atlanta
Wesley (undisclosed) signed a reserve/future contract with the Falcons on Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Wesley spent the entirety of the 2023 season on the practice squad injured list with an undisclosed injury, but the offensive lineman, now healthy, will have another shot to crack the team's 53-man roster in 2024. The 24-year-old has yet to make his NFL regular-season debut after starting seven games with the Seattle Sea Dragons during the 2023 XFL campaign.

Atlanta signed Wesley (undisclosed) to a reserve/future contract Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Wesley sustained an injury prior to the start of the season and didn't play at all in 2023, but the Falcons decided to give him a chance to compete for a spot on their 53-man roster for 2024 anyways. He's still looking for an opportunity to make his regular-season debut.

Atlanta placed Wesley (undisclosed) on its practice squad injured list Tuesday, Michael Rothstein of ESPN.com reports.
In a corresponding move, the Falcons added safety Lukas Denis to their practice squad. The placement means Wesley won't be eligible to be elevated for regular-season action until Week 5 versus Houston, at the earliest.
