Hicks cleared waivers after being waived by the Seahawks during Sunday's cutdown day. The wide receiver was waived twice by the team in August but keeps finding his way back to the organization. Hicks participated in the final two preseason games for the Seahawks, catching his sole target for 12 yards.

Hicks signed with the team as an undrafted free agent in May and tried to crack a crowded receiver room led by Romeo Doubs, Jayden Reed, Christian Watson and Dontayvion Wicks. The wide receiver caught 72 passes for 1,139 yards and 17 touchdowns over his final two college seasons with the University of Albany.
