Chiefs' Alohi Gilman: Healthy again
Gilman (back) is not on the Chiefs' Thursday injury report ahead of the team's Monday night Week 1 clash with the Broncos.
The safety injured his back during the second week of the preseason and missed a little over two weeks of team activities. Now that he has returned to practice, he should be good to go for Monday's season opener against Denver. Gilman signed a three-year, $24 million free-agent deal with the Chiefs in March to serve as a starting safety.

Chiefs' Alohi Gilman: Won't return due to back injury
Gilman has been ruled out for the rest of Saturday's preseason game against the Buccaneers due to a back injury.
Gilman may have picked up the injury during pregame warmups, which will prevent him from suiting up for Saturday's exhibition contest. He'll undergo more tests to determine the severity of the injury, but it could prevent him from playing in the Chiefs' preseason finale against the Seahawks this Friday. Xavier Nwankpa and Jaden Hicks will start at safety in Gilman's absence, with Christian Roland-Wallace sliding in as the slot corner.

Chiefs' Alohi Gilman: Agrees to deal with Kansas City
The Chiefs and Gilman agreed to terms on a three-year, $24.75 million contract Monday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
The deal contains $15 million guaranteed. A sixth-round pick of the Chargers in 2020, Gilman began last season with Los Angeles but was traded to the Ravens in October. He started all 12 regular-season games with Baltimore following the trade and finished the 2025 campaign with 90 tackles (50 solo), nine pass breakups, two fumble recoveries and one forced fumble. Gilman replaces Bryan Cook at safety with Kansas City.

Ravens' Alohi Gilman: Performs well in Baltimore
Gilman posted 90 total tackles (50 solo), nine passes defensed and one forced fumble over 17 regular-season games in 2025.
Gilman began the season with the Chargers and appeared in five games prior to being dealt to the Ravens in early October. The 28-year-old from Notre Dame was a huge addition to Baltimore's defense, as the team allowed 35.4 points per game prior to his arrival and just 17.0 after. Gilman tallied a career-high 90 stops while recording the second-most passes defensed of his career (nine) as well. Set to become an unrestricted free agent this offseason, he's likely to draw significant interest from teams in need of secondary help.

Ravens' Alohi Gilman: Records touchdown in Week 15 win
Gilman recorded eight tackles (five solo) and a defensed pass while adding a touchdown on a lateral Sunday in a 24-0 win over Cincinnati.
Gilman was among three Ravens who tied for third on the team with eight stops in a dominant defensive effort. His most memorable play, though, came on a fourth-quarter interception by teammate Kyle Van Noy. Van Noy handed the ball to Gilman after the pickoff, and Gilman took the ball into the Bengals' end zone. The touchdown was the first of Gilman's six-year NFL career.
