Cowboys' Devin Moore: Placed on IR, designated to return

Moore (undisclosed) was placed on injured reserve by the Cowboys on Sunday with a designation to return, Nick Eatman of the team's official website reports. Moore was dealing with a groin injury in early August, and it's unclear if he is dealing with the same issue now or something new entirely. The cornerback will now be forced to miss at least four contests to open the regular season while on IR. Moore will have to wait until at least a Week 5 Thursday night matchup against the Buccaneers on Oct. 8 to make his NFL regular-season debut.

Cowboys' Devin Moore: Dealing with groin issue

Moore (groin) did not participate during the Cowboys' training camp practice Thursday, Tommy Yarrish of the Cowboys' official site reports. It's not clear when Moore picked up the injury, and there's no timeline for his return at this point. Until he's back to full strength, Josh Butler and 2024 fifth-rounder Caelen Carson are candidates to see an increase in reps on the boundary at practice.
