Falcons' Anterio Thompson: Moved to reserve/non-football injury list
The Falcons moved Thompson (undisclosed) to the reserve/non-football injury list Sunday, Will McFadden of the team's official site reports.
Thompson spent all of training camp on the active/non-football injury list, making the defensive tackle eligible to start the season on the reserve/NFI list. The 23-year-old is now required to miss at least the first four games of the regular season before being eligible to return to the active roster.

Falcons' Anterio Thompson: Placed on NFI list
The Falcons placed Thompson (undisclosed) on the active/non-football injury list Saturday, Marc Raimondi of ESPN.com reports.
Per Josh Kendall of The Athletic, an injury prevented Thompson from participating in offseason activities, though the nature and severity of the issue is unclear. Once fully healthy, the rookie sixth-rounder will be eligible to participate in practices.

Falcons' Anterio Thompson: Tapped on shoulder by Falcons
The Falcons selected Thompson in the sixth round of the 2026 NFL Draft, 208th overall.
Thompson spent two years at junior college before making stops at Iowa, Western Michigan and Washington over his final three seasons. He started just three games in 2025 and finished with 30 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks. It's concerning that he wasn't a full-time starter in his fifth collegiate season, but Thompson has the raw tools (4.73 40-yard dash at 6-foot-2, 306 pounds) that make him worth a swing in the sixth round.
